| Be sure to read and understand all of the following:
1. You may submit as many entries to the Gallery as you wish. a. Submissions must be made through the submission form on this page. All required information must be included. b. DO NOT e-mail the actual artwork to me (unless I specifically request that you do for some reason). c. Forms must have all the information asked for (unless marked "optional"). Forms that are submitted without a link to an image (i.e. just text about your site, but no picture) will not be processed. You are permitted work in the gallery if you have an ad pic but your site is not finished yet (i.e. you don't have to fill in the address for your site if it's not ready) but it's advised that you e-mail us when your site is up so that the artwork page can be changed so that people can visit your stie. You amy also have artwork even if you don't have a page or webspace (see 2a) d. Artwork that is no longer working--no longer on the artist's site--will be removed from the gallery to keep it clean. It is suggested that if you wish to keep work in the gallery, you should make note not to erase the artwork off your server. 2. All submissions will remain on your site, not on DNA Level C's space. That is to say, the Gallery will load your picture from your site. This is to (a) save space on my site and (b) to protect you--if you sent DNA Level C a picture and it was kept on my server space, I could conceivably claim that it is my property. Keeping it on your server space protects you. (c) If per chance someone were to "steal" your image (basically, save it and then use it on their page claiming it was their own) I am not responsible because technically they are stealing it from your server space. This is to protect me. a. Exceptions to this rule may be allowed in certain cases, specifically if you don't have server space. DNA Level C will accept files from anyone, even those of you who don't have web pages. In such cases, if you have Bone art that you want to display but don't have any place to store them on the net, e-mail me at p-man1@oocities.com and we will work something out. 3. DNA Level C reserves the right to deny any submission on any grounds. It also reserves the right to not inform the artist that his/her submission has been rejected and does not have to cite any reasons. Although most submissions will be accepted, there are some exceptions. a. Art work that is considered vulgar, racist, sexist, and/or offensive in general will not be accepted. b. Art work that puts down other groups on the 'net will not be accepted. DNA Level C does not promote dissing of other sites and/or groups. c. Any art can be rejected, i.e., you are not guaranteed being posted no matter what. d. The above also applies to your comments section on the art page. 4. DNA Level C will never claim to be the owner of, or take credit for, anything posted in The Gallery. All submissions will have a by-line giving visitors information on the artist and their e-mail address. In addition, all Gallery pages will feature a copyright notice at the bottom of the page informing visitors that artwork is the intellectual and physical property of the owners and that unauthorized reproduction is prohibited. 5. DNA Level C reserves the right to display artwork in any fashion on the Gallery pages, but will never alter the appearance of the artwork itself. 6. DNA Level C advises against using transparent .gifs. .GIF files are perfectly acceptable, but transparent ones tend to cause difficulties due to their nature (i.e. the background color show through them, which can alter the appearance). |
