* "Crossroad" was replaced by "Tha Crossroads" and the CD was re-released. |

This album was actually released twice. The original version had a song called "Crossroad". After Eazy-E died, Bone decided to remake "Crossroad" and release it as a single as well as rereleasing the album. The new song was entitled "Tha Crossroads (D.J. U-Neek's Mo Thug Remix). (F.Y.I. - You can tell the difference between the albums by the packaging...the newer release has a sticker on the packaging which reads "Includes the bomb hit: Tha Crossroads!") |
There appear to be a couple differences in the CD itself between releases. Newer releases of the second release of E. 1999 Eternal (i.e. the one with "Tha Crossroads") have a different pattern on the actual CD than the previous release and the first release (i.e. the one with "Crossroad") The newest release bears the number 9 (or 6) on the CD eight times. There are also a few strange symbols which appear to be in a language called Hindi.. |

If you look closely you
can spot two things on the cover to this album:
Inside the leaflet is this familiar image:
One page in the leaflet contains a message written backwards with all the words run together.
Of course, there is no such street as E.1999 Eternal St., Cleveland's Zip code is not 00999, and the phone number (1-900-62BONE6) is their fan club number. Eazy-E fans will recognize the opening lines "I find myself without morals..." On the album released after his death (Str8 Off Tha Muthaphuckin Streets of Compton) in the same place behind the CD as "E.1999 Eternal" has the words "Believe in the last day" and "Don't give props to the devil" he has "Thou shalt not kill" and "You find yourself without morals." |
The map within the leaflet
is NOT an actual map of Cleveland. There is no such street as E.1999th
or Eternal (or W. Compton Blvd, or any of the others).
Crenshaw Blvd. - Street in Compton.
Now, what this I duo not know. I have heard that it gave info, or played, an unreleased Eazy-E track. I have also heard that the first person who called won something. I myself called, however, as I figured, it is no longer in service. And that solves the Misterouija mystery. |
If you look carefully on the picture behind the CD, you'll notice two "hidden" messages. Written to the left of the CD is "Don't Give Props To The Devil" and written to the right is "Believe In The Last Day". |
The picture behind the CD is an interesting one. It would appear that it is supposed to represent a Ouija board (the words "supress" and "invoke" seem to hint at this) with the skeletal hand with the longest finger holding the pointer (planchette) used in pointing out the letters in a summoning. (The strange circular pattern can also been seen in two promotinal commercials for "E.1999 Eternal". Visit DNA Level C's Videos section if you'd like to download it. There are also puzzling marks one the triangles drawn around each skeletal hand. ![]() ![]() |
In "Da Introduction" the first part of the song contains a backwards segment. This segment is actually part of Bizzy's verse from the song "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" from the Creepin On Ah Come Up album. The backwards segment is the following: [Shatasha]: "It's the thuggish ruggish
Bone . . ."
The track "Mr. Ouija 2" also has a hidden recording. It says "...Wish Bone, and Flesh. They came here from Cleveland, Ohio, on a bus. They met Eazy-E in Los Angeles. Eazy had to listen to their music or send them staight back to Ohio. Well, the playas in Bone thugs-n-harmony..." |
For those of you who don't know your way around Ohio, you might be interested to know what "Down '71 (The Getaway)" refers to. '71 is Interstate '71 a large and highly-traveled highway that runs through most of Ohio and the center of Cleveland. ![]() |
"E.1999 Eternal" has
sold 5 million plus copies and counting.
If you carefully inspect the credits on this album, you will notice each has listed in their credits "Keenu Songs" "Keenu" is, of course, "UNeek" backwards. |
The song "Buddah Lovaz" is sung to the tune of a song by the Isley Brothers entitled "Choosey Lover" (from the 1983 album "Between the Sheets") The opening lines to that song are "I'm so glad you chose me, baby baby..." ("Buddah Lovaz": "I'm so glad you showed me, Krayzie, Layzie...") |
In "Tha Crossroads" we see Eazy-E in the clouds in the closing moments of the video. This picture was actually taken from Eazy-E's "Real Compton City Gs" video, at the moment in which he is confronting his look-alike on the streets of Compton. Below are screen shots from each video:
