B-Side: Hurry Sundown
Forget his 50’s rock ‘N Roll piano bashers, Little Richard has some decent
60’s dancers on both Brunswick and OKeh. "A Little Bit Of Something" is the
one to have, but I prefer "I Don’t Want To Discuss It", it’s a stormer. Be
careful how you buy L.R., a lot of his OKeh stuff isn’t "right", I think they
were trying to revive his career by having him rehash old tunes (Money,
Lucille, etc.). "Poor Dog" is a decent title to get.

What a song! Those strings! The band! Those voices! Augh, what a sound!
And, it’s an LA record! I know three people whose first OKeh finds were
copies of this very record. Strange, huh? Also released on French picture
sleeve. There was a time when this could have been Top Northern song, up
there with the O’Jays’ "I’ll Never Forget You".
"Tellin’ my friends I ain’t no good,
That’s all right, it’s understood,
That I love you… Yeah.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words will never change the way I feel about you. Yeah."
Ahhhh, sweet! Classic.

Okeh. It’s Frantic! Pumping, pounding, racing to the finish. "Here I am
pretty baby, I want you to know, here I AM!" Great bass break, too!
