As the List Owner, let me welcome
you to the Dogstar Mailing List Homepage.
This is an unofficial (official) page. Did you understand
that? *grin* What this means is that this mailing list is not
produced, endorsed, or connected to Dogstar in any way, shape, or form
except that it is dedicated to all things Dogstar. That's what
unofficial means. What does official mean?
Currently, this is the ONLY mailing list available for Dogstar fans.
"Does Dogstar know of the page," you may ask. I had the opportunity and honor to introduce
myself to a person directly connected to Dogstar. I asked him if
Dogstar had an "official" mailing list available.
He said no. Then, I asked him what he thought of an "unofficial"
Dogstar Mailing List existing. There was a moment of silence, and
I was holding my breath. If he had said he believed that Dogstar
would have some negative feelings about it, I would have stop
the mailing list immediately - even though it would have broke
my heart to have to tell the many people who had expressed interests
in joining that the mailing list had to cease. But, after a few
questions to get more information about this mailing list, I guess
he could see that the mailing list was genuine. He said
(and I quote), "Then, I have no problems with it." So, from his
mouth to this page, that's what makes this "official" - the
"approval" of this person, which I must add, means a lot to all
the Dogstar fans. So, with those 2 explanations, the Constellation
is the Unofficial Official Homepage of the Dogstar Mailing List.
The Constellation is maintained and supported by fans of Dogstar.
I created the list because I had wanted to join the Dogstar Mailing List
and discovered that there wasn't one. I was surprised and upset, but
instead of whining about it, I decided to put my html skills where my mouth
is. So, I put my business degree to use by doing "market research"
and all that other "good stuff." :-) I asked around to see if there
were other fans like myself who'd be interested in the product.
I received numerous enthusiastic responses and thus, The Constellation was
born.
I'd like to thank the Dogstar fans from all over the world who visit this site regularly and who submit news, pictures, guitar tabs and other items for the page. There's no way we could keep up to date without you. Please keep supporting the page and we'll try to keep you informed. Thanks to Jonell, the Assistant List Administrator, for her constant help and support. Most of all, thank you Dogstar for sharing your music and yourselves with us. You make the world a brighter place for all of us!
