David Clouter at Rock Radio Network has informed me that Bruce Dickinson will be DJ, yet again, on 22 January at midnight. David had this to say about the event, "We weren't expecting to get him again so soon, as he has a really busy schedule, but he enjoyed doing the first one so much he couldn't wait to have another go." I will let you know all the details of the 2 hour broadcast as they become available.
Sources close to the band have indicated that there are no plans to release any live material from the past tour. My source, however, did not say it wasn't possible, it just won't be right now.

In non-related Bruce news, I have received an advanced copy of the new Iron Maiden single "Futureal." On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 6.5. It blows away and song on The X Factor, but the production side still leaves a little to be desired. But after listening to it over and over again, I am optimistic about Virtual XI. No new Bruce news, but as always stay tuned, you never know what is going to happen. I have added a two new links to the links section. One is THE MAN! and the other is Kheldan's Iron Maiden Pit, So please stop by to see them.
I recently read in Metal Maniacs, a metal magazine(though I am not sure if the name is correct), that Nicko attended Bruce's show at Royal Albert Hall, opening for Skynryd. After the show Bruce asked Nicko what he thought and Nicko said, "that's the greatest Maiden tribute band I have seen!" Bruce turned and walked away mad. Nicko said the same thing to Adrian and he laughed. Oh Well!! Everyone now is aware of Bruce being on the Rock Radio Network TONIGHT!!! On the RRN home page, it tells a brief story of Blaze and Bruce running into each other at their studio. Though nothing of real interest to report. And why should there be!
I have updated the Misc page with some miscellaneous tidbits.
Here is the latest news, if you have not already heard it. Bruce & Co. are back in the studio, in L.A. The new CD is tentatively titled Chemical Wedding. Recording should be over by mid-June, with the album being released sometime in September. Roy is producing again and Derek Riggs is doing the cover art. Eddison will soon return. So far, 15 new songs have been written. Adrian has co-written at least 3 or 4 of them. Tentative song titles are "Chemical Wedding", "Jerusalem", "The King Crimson", and "The Alchemist". Early indications are that the few songs heard are incredible!!
I also have updated the misc page with "The Prisoner" live from the Skunkworks tour.
David Clouter at Rock Radio Network has informed me that they have a weekly live feature talking to Bruce, in LA, about progress on the new album. Please check their site for more details.
After finding no info on the RRN homepage regarding Bruce in LA, I was e-mailed by Mr. Clouter. It said: Although Bruce did do one show for us in Real Audio, on March 28th, it was all done in a bit of a hurry and we only got the link up on the site about an hour before his show!!! So you can't hear the show in Real Audio at present.
Currently we're looking at something a little more permanent and I'll let you know as soon as we have some definite news. But for now Bruce is only available on shortwave and satellite, at 5pm PST (8pm EST). If you live in the US, the ONLY way to hear us at present is using a shortwave radio, on one of the frequencies below. The signal is VERY strong, as we have an extremely powerful transmitter, it will sound as good as a local AM station!!
Check us out on on 9645, 9780, 11985 or 13690 Khz shortwave every Wednesday at 7pm EST / 4pm PST (midnight UK time).
Looks like the album will be called "A Chemical Wedding"
Song titles include; Chemical Wedding, The Book of Thel, The Gates of Urizen, The King Crimson, Jerusalem, and The Alchemist.
I have not heard anything yet, but all who have told me it's better than AOB (if that's possible)!!!
Speaking live from the studio in LA where he is working on his new album, the title of which he confirmed is 'The Chemical Wedding', BRUCE DICKINSON told London's Rock Radio Network that "things are going really really well. The whole thing is sounding absolutely mega and monstrous". He added that rhythm and bass guitars were in the can, and that today he would start work on vocals. He told RRN that in the last year, US sales of his solo albums have increased by a factor of four. Bruce also revealed that after collapsing at 3am, guitarist Adrian Smith was admitted to hospital last week, initially with suspected appendicitis. But following 48 hours of tests he was discharged from hospital awaiting the results.
Bruce Dickinson will also appear on a forthcoming ALICE COOPER tribute record alongside Roger Daltry, Slash, Dave Mustaine, Joe Elliot, and "a couple of guys from Def Leppard". Ozzy has also been invited to participate...
Watch for the SAMSON re-issues to only include the stuff with BRUCE DICKINSON: Survivors, Head On, Shock Tactics and Reading Live...
The long awaited comeback album by the semi-legendary WARRIOR, Ancient Future, will be out in July 14 on Metal Blade. The album features 10 tracks total ("New Nation" looks to be the bonus track for Japan), half of which were co-written by BRUCE DICKINSON/TRIBE OF GYPSIES guitarist Roy Z, a former member of Warrior.
BRUCE DICKINSON spent the weekend of May 16th/17th jamming with Dream Theater in LA. A number of old Maiden songs were given the treatment.
On London's Rock Radio Network, BRUCE DICKINSON revealed details of his recent on-stage jam with Dream Theater in LA. "The band's tour manager, Bill Barclay, used to be Adrian Smith's guitar technician in the early days of Maiden. So after a few beers together, the keyboard player gave me a yell and asked if I wanted to go and do 'Perfect Strangers' with them, something we had already done together on a live radio session. I've also been working with him on the Alice Cooper tribute. So we did Perfect Strangers at the end. And then, of course, the band wandered off into 'The Trooper', followed by a verse of 'Where Eagles Dare', and one off 'Killers'. So I obliged and an enormous amount of fun was had by all." As far as the new album 'A Chemical Wedding' is concerned, Bruce disclosed that he has now recorded 8 or 9 out of 12 lead vocals. Additionally, he is currently working on two or three unfinished tracks left over from the previous album, and he said one or more of these may be included on the new album as a bonus. He told Rock Radio Network he expects recording to be finished by the end of June. The album is due to be released in September on the Airraid Label.
BRUCE DICKINSON told London's Rock Radio Network that work on 'A Chemical Wedding' is now complete. He explained how ordinary guitars were converted to accept thin strings off the bass guitar to produce a really heavy sound and described his new opus as "Mindcrushingly heavy, a really really rattle-your-fillings album". He said that the album has already previewed to Metal Maniacs, Metal Edge and Hit Parader and was very well received. It will be released on September 14th on Bruce's own Airraid label, and listeners to RRN will hear a world exclusive preview of the whole album when he returns to his regular weekly slot as a radio presenter. Before returning to England for a week's holiday in Devon, he spent his final day in LA on July 1st recording B-sides and extra tracks including a cover version of the Scorpions' "The Zoo" for the "Extreme Wrestling Federation" album which will also feature Slayer and Pantera.
The Japanese edition of the first single from BRUCE DICKINSON's Chemical Wedding is scheduled to contain four tracks: two from the album and two previously unreleased non-album tracks.
As you can see here is the new cover work for The Chemical Wedding. The release date is September 15. The following is the list of songs on the new CD: King In Crimson, Chemical Wedding, The Tower, Killing Floor, The Book of Thel, Gates of Urizen, Jerusalem, Trumpets of Jericho, Machine Men, The Alchemist. This all the information at this time. I will post it as I get it.

I have listened to The Chemical Wedding about 15 times by now. I can say, without a doubt, that this one of the heaviest CD's of all time. I am gathering some thoughts together for my review and will have in the next couple of weeks. I can promise that no one will be disappointed!

Thanks to Haavard Skogvoll for the Bruce date in Oslo. Also Bruce will have a song on the soundtrack to the movie The Bride of Chucky. I am not sure of the song, but more information can be found at CMC's homepage.
It has been decided. I will interview Bruce on Spetember 14, 1998. I am going where no interviewer has gone before. If anyone has a question they would like me to ask, please send them to me. I cannot not ask them all, so please understand if your question does not get answered. I will only have about 10-15 minutes to do allow for this one time offer. Please think of good questions as they will have the better chance of being asked and try to limit your entries to 5 questions. The deadline is September 10. Anything received after this will not be considered. Please include your name and location(city, country, state, province or where ever you are). Also, Please check the news page for the latest on Bruce's Japanesse single. I plan on having my review by early next week.

The song to appear on the soundtrack to, The Bride of Chucky, is "Trumpets of Jericho." I have updated the Tour Info page with some more UK dates. I will post more dates as they become available.
I just received the complete copy of "The Chemical Wedding" with lyrics and pictures. A huge congratulations goes out to Chris Reidy and Jeremy Haines, as they were thanked by Adrian for there support on the net.(If you wonder who these people are, Jeremey has a Bruce and Adrian site, go to link page to visit it, and Chris may have a page but allowed me to use some of his pictures of Bruce and Adrian and was a regular on the Strange Death, also on Jeremey Haines'page). That's cool of Adrian to include them in his credits. I have updated the News page and the Tour Info page. Please send me any reviews of any Bruce shows you go to and I will post them. The song Bruce will have on the the Extreme Wrestling is a version of, "The Zoo," from the Scorpions. Somehow I read that because it sounds familiar. None the less thanks to Jeff Bruck for bringing this to my attention. Also, I have updated the Tour Info page with some dates in Finland, Germany and Czech Republic.
It appears as though Pink Cream 69' will open for Bruce in Europe. Who is that you may ask? I have no idea. I can only try to find out. Thanks to everyone who submitted questions for the Bruce interview on Monday.
Bruce interview has been temporairily postponed. Bruce had to be in France today. Stay tuned for the new date.
Bruce will release a new album with Samson by the end of 1999 ! Here's the story : as you know, Samson was Bruce's band before he joined Maiden in 1981. Very recently, Masa-Itoh (the chief editor of Japanese magazine Burnnn!) told Bruce he was setting up a festival to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. Masa-Itoh got in touch with some long-dead NWOBHM bands (like Angelwitch) and asked if they would reform for the occasion. And of course, he thought about Samson. Bruce liked the idea and got in touch with his former colleagues. Very quickly, he suggested doing an EP, which quickly turned into a full album ! This album will feature new songs (not unreleased stuff from the past) and will be released on Bruce's label, Air Raid records.
Bruce to appear at German festival
A Metal festival takes place in Stuttgart this weekend. Bruce will sing Flight Of Icarus with Heavy Metal legends Warlord.
Roy Z out of the European tour
For personal reasons I won't get into, Roy Z will not be able to play with Bruce on his upcoming European tour. He still is a member of the band and he should definitely be there on the US tour (scheduled for the beginning of next year). Bruce has already found the right man to step temporarily into Roy's shoes : known as "The Guru", he's the guitar technician who worked on The Chemical Wedding. He designed the now famous Molossian guitar that can be heard on the album, and is himself an excellent guitar player (he studied music theory for two years).
New Tribe Of Gypsies album
The new Tribe Of Gypsies album has been released in Japan and should be available in early 1999 on Bruce's label. The material has been described as early Santana...The band should play some shows during Bruce's tour.
The following information comes from sources close to Bruce: The track that Bruce recorded for the ECW extreme music CD that we are releasing, in late October is "The Zoo" (Scorpions). It's real heavy, just like the new album. Also, the full album was #1 most added at Metal radio last week and should be top 5 on most of the Metal charts this week...the kids love the record!!!
Also, in the latest issue of Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles ( a Canadian Magazine ), Bruce talks about the following un-released tracks:
1) Return of the King 2) Wicker Man 3) Confeos 4) Real World 5) The Zoo 6) The Midnight Jam 7) Acoustic Song

I can sum up the entire MTV show in one word. CRAP! I was excited to see Bruce and to hear what he said. However, it proved to be a waste of time. bruce was maybe on air a total of five minutes. He talked about how he got started in music, Arthur Brown, and gave his opinion on some band, at the end, which was not favorable. He called it "Garbage." That was the highlight of the show. The one cool thing that MTV did was to play clips of TCW before commercials.
Here is a recent press release for the MTV show. Also, my local newspaper had the song Bruce did for the Alice Cooper tribute, however, I forgot it, so I will post it next week.
BRUCE DICKINSON APPEARS ON MTV'S ROCKS OFF NEW YORK - Bruce Dickinson will appear as a guest on Rocks Off, a new MTV show hosted by Matt Pinfield, on Friday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
The hour-long show each day features an artist, industry professional, and fan commenting on videos and artists. Dickinson will also talk about his third album on CMC International Records, The Chemical Wedding, and his phenomenal career in music. Music from The Chemical Wedding will be featured throughout the show.
"It's great to see metal back on MTV in the USA," said Dickinson. "The metal scene is a huge audience that has been disenfranchised by the mainstream media and it's good to see MTV start the ball rolling towards ending that. I had a great time on the show."
Dickinson will begin touring Europe in October and the United States in the new year.
Thanks to Jeff Bruck, who refreshed my memory on the Bruce song, for the Alice Cooper tribute. Bruce will be performing "Black Widow." I am not sure of the relase date, so stay tuned. Also, Bruce's song, in "Child's Play 4," will actually be in the movie, accoring to sources close to the band.
I have updated the Tour Info Page with some dates in Greece.
Thanks to an e-mail from GUN, I have updated the city and venue for the Estonia show. I also updated a date for 17 November in Switzerland. On the Misc page their is a new picture of Bruce from 1998.
It is only two days until "The interview." I am getting a bit nervous. I do plan on updating the site after the interview on some of the highlights, so stay tuned!
Thanks to "Edison," who sent me the info for the 19 November show in Milan, Italy. Though, I still need the venue. Tomorrow's the big interview and the stomach is starting to get queasy.
Bruce said, about the MTV performance, that Korn did not want to be on with Bruce, as scheduled, because they thought he was too metal. Bruce said that he will have a new web site up and running and he also said that he recently found tons of shirts, hats, etc from the old tours and that may be sold over the internet. Bruce has no plans to retire any time soon, he said, "I will play until I croak." Bruce said that he will have more than one support band in Europe and in North America he said he will probably tour in February, and only said he may be the second of a triple bill. He did not specify any bands. He did say the set list will comprise of 7 Chemical Wedding songs. He did not say which ones. He also said that he will play a song from every album, except SkunkWorks. During the interview I could hear the rest of the band in rehersals. I overheard them play "Powerslave," and "Flight of Icarus." Bruce was very cool and gave me a 1 hour interview. I was able to ask some of the questions that were sent to me, some of them he answered throughout the interview. I will try to post this interview as soon as possible.
I have updated the venue for the Milan, Italy show on 19 November. Thanks to "Edison" for the information.
Thanks to Carola who furnished me with the correct city for the Switerland show at Z7 and for the three new dates is Spain, from 21 November - 23 November.
I am working as much as I can on transcribing the interview. I am about 1/4 of the way done. I will post it in two parts, with the first part going up in the next few days, hopefully. The new Alice Cooper tribute CD will be called "Humanary Stew," thanks to Jeff Bruck for the information. I have also added a link to Starchildren on the links page.

I have updated the Concert Reviews page with 5 reviews from Milan, Italy, Madrid, Spain, Vosselaar, Belgium, and Baarlo, Holland. Thanks to Mario, Ricardo, Carola and Matteo for the reviews. They are greatly appreciated. I also have updated, per CMC International's request, a link, on the main page, to hear songs off The Chemical Wedding and to download them.
