Course Of Empire-"Telepathic Last Words" CD-At it's core, COE are purely a rock act, but
they are one that is not afraid to experiment and subsequently, they transcend mere "hard
rock" or "alternative". With big punchy (double) drums, moody KILLING JOKE-esque guitars,
and the emotive and melodic vocals of Vaughn Stevenson, these Texans throw down some edgy
and potent dark rock sounds. Subtle Middle Eastern melodies, traces of electronic
dissonance, and dance beats round out the edges of COE's unique and intelligent sound. A
quality release that I hope garners the band some deserving notoriety. (TVT)
