Life Thru A Lens went platinum last week!
And again Angels went up to No 7 in the UK single charts...

Apart from Life Thru A Lens still being Top 3 in the album chart nothing happened lately.
That gave me some time to listen to the b-sides of Angels to finally add those words to the Lyrics page!

And Karin from Germany just brought the news that Angels entered the Top 10 at No 10 in the German charts last week. Congratulations Rob!

Angels has sold more than 470,000 copies- making him the most successful solo Take That star!
He is way ahead of former band pals Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange.
Only Gary's debut single, Forever Love which sold 300,000, has come close to Robbie's sales.
Angels has even outperformed all but two of Take That's hits in this country-Back For Good, which shifted 950,000 copies, and How Deep Is Your Love, 650,000 copies.
Life Thru A Lens is also doing well. Still at No 3 in the charts it has notched up 210,000 sales and could overtake Gary's 250,000 for Open Road in the next ten days.
Mark is lagging behind badly but at least he has had a record out, so what about Howard and Jason?

Here's a breakdown of the T.T. races:
ROB-Singles: Freedom (270,000); Old Before I Die (170,000); Lazy Days (70,000); South Of The Border(40,000); Angels (470,000). Total: 1,020,000. Album: Life Thru A Lens, currently at No 3. Total: 210,000.

HOWARD DONALD-Singles: None. But a spokesman says:"He is still signed to RCA and is still working on ideas."

Rob in the meantime went off to Jameica to work on his new album which is planned for October this year.

Rob performed "There are bad times around the corner" at the charity bash on January 15th.
That song will appear on the tribute album which is due in April but Rob might as well release it as a future single with profits going to AIDS charities.
