Their Biography | |||||
Let's go back to the autumn of 1988. Grim Skunk spent many nights jamming in an old building on Bleury in downtown Montreal formerly known as the BBC. Their only interest in jamming was to get together and create a totally new music. By demand, Grim Skunk played their first show in April of 1989 and they've been touring ever since. Grim Skunk really likes to encourage the independant scene whether it be locally or internationally. This scene not only includes musicians but all types of artists. They figured out a great way to have good tours in foreign territories. Grim Skunk invites a band to tour with them in Canada and in exchange they get to tour in that band's terrirory. In the studio, Grim Skunk record as if playing a live show. They've been known to produce albums in very little time. The album Grim Skunk was recorded and mixed in only eight days. Did you know that three members of Grim Skunk were previously in Fatal Illness? Yup, Joe was the lead singer, Franz and Peter the guitarists. In those days their sound standards were pretty low, but all efforts went into being as heavy as humanly possible-and for the guys, that meant LOTS OF NOISE!!! |
