The Rag Week Gig, reviews
Another day, another student organised gig, another bunch of crap. This is the second gig we have played recently that we have had to take over the set up of the night. 5 days notice and we had to get a 5K rig booked and then we had to get the posters up ourselves on the night before the gig.
So, nae crowd, and we still kicked the doors down. We went at it hell for leather and it payed off. The sound guys (Cheers Stuart et al) did a great job, they also did a desk mix recording for us. Christ, it shows the flaws but it also showed that all the songs we played worked and are tight.
The only major downer was the twat who runs the place. Yet again he tried to cut the set short, the little BAST**D. So on the rcording you can hear us screw up the end of LOMO as I was being shouted at to stop, and then in Teenage Roadkill we really lose the plot. Again it was the first airing of Teenage Roadkill so we can't complain. Well, if anyone was there, please feel free to send any reviews or comments to us at marlow@nme.com
