THE CHALICE
The Chalice is usualy placed in the west of your alter. It symbolises the goddess, and is used to hold wine, mead, or water during ceremonies. It is also used in preforming the Great Rite during Beltane rituals in which the athame is lowered into the chalice symbolising the union of the God and Goddess. The chalice may be made of any material. Mine is made of stoneware, but it can be made of glass, silver, pewter, or anything you find that you like and feel comfortible with.
