~*~Cluricauns~*~

A Cluricaun is a type of Leprechaun who lives in the wine cellar. They usually keep the dress of a miniature innkeeper, wearing a white shirt and apron, a red cap, and silver buckled shoes (a Leprechaun trait). In a well kept home or establishment the Cluricaun will usually keep to himself and take a small portion of whatever wine and bread is available. Yet in an unkempt environment the Cluricaun will take all the food and wine soon putting such places out of business. In the home of a drunk a Cluricaun tends to resemble it's homeowner, drinking excessive amounts of the finest vintages causing the drunk to wonder in puzzlement at the number of empty bottles lying about. One of the worst setbacks with a Cluricaun is that it may become a nasty sort of drunk who constantly raids the wine cellar. At this time a household is never free of the sounds of breaking bottles and drunken songs. If such a household happens to be a farm the Cluricaun can sometimes be seen riding through the moonlight on backs of sheep or shepherd dogs. If a drunken Cluricaun happens to be in the household the only way to rid your self of it is to cut off the Cluricaun's liquor supply. After a short period of time the Cluricaun will find a more hospitable place to live.
