Pheabus Apollo started back in August of 98' with 4 members.
Krys (singer), Dj(guitar), M.D.(bass), and Mark(drums). Each member
had their own style, which created a very original sound. They played
a battle of the bands only 3 weeks after getting together, and shocked
everyone with their uncanny covers of Black by Sevendust and Headup by
Deftones. One night the bassist refused to play a show, that day
they asked Spoon if he could fill in. They had one practice (the
day of the show) and that night impressed everyone including themselves.
They knew that Spoon was the one link they had missing in the band.
Now the band was complete.
The band was originally called Zyght. The members all
agreed that this name was not one that wanted to be known as. Together
they thought for weeks as to what to name the band. Finally they
found it. PHEABUS APOLLO. They thought it would be perfect
for their style. The name was taken from the Greek God Feebus Apollo,
who coincidentally was the God of music and poetry.
