AFI - The Art of Drowning (Nitro Records). Released in 2000 through Nitro Records, 'The Art of Drowning' is a one of the best punk cds I've heard. There isnt a single track on it not worth listening to. A mix of poetic lyrics with sometimes dark and twisted imagery is combined with rythmic back-up vocals to create a heart-pounding, thought-provoking experience. The band has really pulled togethor for this one, not to dispute their excellent work in the past. A perfect example of a great punk/hardcore cd with the occasional slow song.
