David Read (bass)

He was one of the founder members in the band Fantasy:

Paul Petley (vocals, guitar)
Peter James (guitar)
David Read (bass)
David Metcalfe (keyboards)
Jon Webster (drums)
They recorded several tracks that remained unreleased until 1994.

Around 1971, they changed their singer:

Paul Lawrence (vocals, guitar)
Peter James (guitar)
David Read (bass)
David Metcalfe (keyboards)
Jon Webster (drums)
In 1972, they changed their name for a while to Firequeen. Their first album, Paint a picture, appeared when they already were using the name Fantasy.

They also recorded a 2nd album in 1974, called Beyond the beyond, but it remained unreleased until 1992. They split that same year.

But in 1976, the band comes back to life with a different lineup, as we've read in Geoff Whitehorn pages.
