MOTORHEAD-EVERYTHING LOUDER THAN EVERYONE ELSE
CMC International Rating-10

Wow, what a record! The long over-due double-live CD representing All the greatests hits and brightest sparks of this brilliant, pioneering rock n roll band. While we can quibble about questionable inclusions ("Overnight Sensation", "Civil War") and even more questionable omissions("Eat The Rich","Motorhead", "We Are The Road Crew", etc) this album is a mind-blowing live set that DOES actually top the classic No Sleep Till Hammersmith.

Clearly the current incarnation of Motorhead,(Phil Campbel on guitar, Mikkey Dee on drums, and of course Lemmy on bass and howling) prove on record -as they've been proving live for several years-that they are the finest Motorhead line-up EVER as they pulverise not only new stuff like "Sacrifice" and "Love For Sale," but also the timeless classics like "Bomber," "Iron Fist," "Overkill," and - of course -"Ace Of Spades" better, harder, and, yes, LOUDER than everyone else that came before.

Kudos to CMC for making this a double CD and not making the band cut anything out to fit it on a single CD. Kudos to the band for releasing an album without the benefit of over-dubs and other technological tricks to wipe out mistakes. This is the genuine article right here - Motorhead in its purest form. And Motorhead is as heavy, snarling, and uncompromising as ever before. Lemmy shows no sign of mellowing, whether he’s howling "The One To Sing The Blues," bludgeoning his over-modulated bass, or yelling "That’s fucking terrible!" at the German audience when they don’t shout as loud as he’d like them to. And what’s more is that all facets of this eclectic band - which is so often wrongly maligned as being one-dimensional noise metal - are represented. From the anthemic "Born To Raise Hell," to the gut-wrenching ballad of desperation "Lost In The Ozone," to the 150mph car-wreck of "Take The Blame," to the devilish "God of Thunder"-type serpentine of "Orgasmatron," to the old-fashioned Chuck Berry-esque rock n roll roots of "Going To Brazil," to the almost psychedelic "Capricorn," Motorhead shows a rich appreciation and mastering of rock music of many genres, yet melds them into one unifying groove that is uniquely theirs. And proving once again that they are still the greatest rock band ever!!!
