Cradle Of Filth are currently working on "Midian" at Parkgate Studios with John Fryer (Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie, HIM, the man responsible for "From the Cradle To Enslave") as a producer. Unfortunately the band had some problems with the appearance of Diamanda Galas, though Martin Walkyier of Skyclad probably will be in like it was planned before. CoF also recruited Doug Bradley as narrator, well known as the "Pinhead" from the "Hellraiser" movie. Artwork for "Midian" wiil be perfomed by JK Potter, a man who`s work has been known on many book cover's and inserts for such author's as Stephen King, Joe Lansdale, Poppy Z. Brite, Dennis Etchison and Ramsey Campbell. Visit JK Potter's site - http://www.jkpotter.com. And here is the piece of artwork for "Midian".
Adrian Erlandsson on the upcoming album and tour dates:
"The new stuff sounds really promising, John Fryer is doing a great job with the mixes. We did a cover for the japanese/special edition of the album of a Sabbath song called "For Those Who Died", which is sounding great. So far we have done mixes of 4 songs, "Her Ghost in the Fog", "Saffron's Curse", "Lord Abortion", "For Those Who Died" (cover), the whole thing should be ready by the end of next week.
We have lined up some European tourdates starting on the 20th nov going through to 18th of Dec, support comes from Usurper and Christian Death... then early 2001 we will do a U.S tour including South America (dates are currently beeing booked)."

Remark: Sabbath is not Black Sabbath, but the other band.

"Midian" is planned for release on Halloween. Rumored track list:
1. Her Ghost in the Fog
2. Saffron's Curse
3. Amore Morte
4. Death Magik for Adepts
5. Lord Abortion

Check out http://www.cradleoffear.com - the official website of "Cradle of Fear" project. Dani`s comments on the movie: "If it turns out as good as the script reads, not only will it be funny and quite gross, but it will stylish and sexy. It will remain a totally underground film, as Alex doesn't want to get it rated by censors, hence it will only be available to buy from his website. He is also doing an accompanying soundtrack which will feature a new track from us and some really fucked up drum and bass music."
Few words on the screenplay. "Cradle of Fear"is a "Tales from the Crypt"-style movie, but in the underground way. The opening scene features Cradle Of Filth playing live in a club. The band also taking up various cameo roles throughout the stories, which form the movie itself. Dani Filth appears as a character who believes he is an eternal vampire but instead turns out to be a total nutcase whose father is a police investigator searching for a serial killer. "Cradle of Fear" features song "Lord Abortion" from the upcoming CoF`s album.

As you can see the design of the site have changed. Watch for the updates, `cos I`m planning to open new sections very soon.
There are some rumors, that "Midian" will be a concept album consisting of 2CDs with few tracks featuring the original CoF`s line-up and "special guest stars" as Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Glenn Danzig. We also have heard that one of the songs will be called "Her Ghost In The Fog".

Cradle of Filth announced the most probable title for its upcoming album. It seems, that the final name will be "Midian". At the same time, the band canceled its appearance on the festival in Italy due to some problems with the LP`s recording.
Concerning the story with the CoF`s keyboardists, we can say that the permanent keyboardist is now Martin Powell (ex-My Dying Bride and Anathema).

Also Alex Chandon is working with Dani on a horror film entitled "Cradle of Fear". The screenplay for it was written by Dani himself. It will be five separate stories with total length of 90 minutes. "Cradle of Fear" is planned for release in August.

Alex Chandon, who directed "From the Cradle to Enslave" video, is currently working on the next Cradle of Filth horror clip. The new video will continue "the storyline" of "From the Cradle..." and will show us what happens to the band`s members next. CoF says, that this time they probably make the uncensored version only.

As you might know, some time ago Stewart and Les "Lecter" Smith quit the band "due to personal differences" (as usual ;)). Fortunatly Gian Pyres soon returned to Cradle of Filth so one of the problems was solved. Some time after Paul A. (CoF member in "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh" period) replaced Stewart on guitars. The new band`s keyboardist is not Damien ("Vempire..." and "Dusk...") as many people thought, he just played a bit on the american release of "From the Cradle to Enslave EP". The temporary keyboardist is a guy called Mark De Sade who was represented on the concert in Paris. After all the new LP will be released in June.
