Marianne Savell became Producing Director of Actors Co-op
theatre company in May of 2002 after working as Director
of Promotion for Act One: Writing for Hollywood of which
she is an alumni. Marianne received her MFA in Acting at
the Professional Actor Training Program at University of
Illinois Urbana-Champaign and was a guest artist at the Central
School of Speech and Drama in London.
As a member of Actors Co-op Marianne
directed Translations, As
It Is In Heaven, Nativity
On The Square and God & Shakespeare,
and performed in The Seagull (LA Weekly
Award for Best Featured Actress), The Hasty Heart, As
You Like It, All
My Sons, Uncle
Vanya and Twelfth Night. Recently
Marianne directed the critically acclaimed Molly
Sweeney at Eclectic Company
Theatre and co-starred
in the television pilot, The Room. Marianne
also teaches professionally in Hollywood as Director
of Actors Co-op
Actors Academy and at Vanguard University as an adjunct
professor
in the theatre department. Upcoming projects include
directing Angel Street and Three
Sisters.
