Since 1997, The Industrial Factory has bombarded the Boston airwaves with pounding rhythms and hard-edged electronics that showcase the neverending battle between man and machine with neither one really winning the war. Making its home at WZBC, every Sunday night at 8pm, is only fitting, as ZBC is THE station to hear the best in new music.
Now, seven years later, The Industrial Factory continues to bring its listeners the ever-evolving music that should define the new millennium, crossing the many boundaries that attempt to confine electronic music in general. From the harsh sounds of power-electro as defined by such acts as Imminent Starvation and PAL, to the newest wave of synthpop led by such artists as Mesh, Apoptygma Berzerk, and Covenant to classic EBM from new acts such as VNV Nation and Assemblage 23 to older acts like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb and even some of the metal-tinged industrial from artists such as Chemlab and Hate Dept., the movement has definitely come a long way.
