| Slow Roosevelt - Dallas Texas |
|
|
| And on the 9th day, God said "Let |
| there be Slow Roosevelt" And so |
| there was Slow Ro, and God |
| listened to it, and it was good. |
| bla bla bla |
| Dallas Texas has had its share of |
| good music come out in the past |
| years. Unfortunately, it's not known |
| for the Rock/Metal scene that has |
| been festering down in the Lone |
| Star State. Pantera being one of the |
| lucky exceptions, along with other names like
The Toadies, The Reverand Horton |
| Heat, and the Dixie Chicks????? |
| |
|
|
|
|
Leading the
way is a great little Indie label, One |
| Ton Records.
I was lucky enough to catch the |
| One Ton Showcase
at SxSW Film and Music |
| Festival
in Austin Texas, in 1999. This was my |
| introduction
to Slow Roosevelt and the One Ton |
| label for
the most part. I came empty handed, |
| left with
both of Slow Roosevelts cd's! Which |
| are cd's any self respecting metal
fan should have in their collection. |
| |
|
|
| Starving St. Nick
is the first cd, THROWAWAYYOURSTEREO, the 2nd.
Both |
| are
great! Not the watered down garbage that you'll hear on top 40 radio, followed
up |
| by
Nsync or some shit like that. This is pure, kick in the face Metal. Click
the picture |
| on
the right to get yerself a free sample. Or head on over to Slow
Roosevelt's page on |
| One
Ton's Official Site for some more info and clips and good stuff like
that. |
