I guess my invitation got lost in the mail . . .

Well, it finally happened! After 5 years of courtship, Brendan and Afton got married on September 27, 1998. According to USA Today, the ceremony took place at the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles. This was a bit of a surprise to fans, since we had expected a wedding in Seattle, because of its proximity to Vancouver (where bren is filming Dudley Do Right) and to Brendan's family.

As you can see, Bren looked pretty darn good in Armani (HA HA!), while his bride was elegant in a Badgley Mischka gown. Guests included Christa Miller (who plays Kate on one of my other favorites, the Drew Carey Show), Keanu Reeves (who, I always assumed, disliked Brendan Keanu was going to play Steve Nebraska in the Scout, but Albert Brooks dropped him in favor of Brendan because he wanted someone taller to play the crazy pitcher. I always sensed a tinge of animosity between the two young actors. Perhaps I was wrong), and Dave Foley, with whom Brendan filmed Blast From the Past.

Soon after the festivities, the couple returned to Vancouver so Bren could go back to work. It seems they took their honeymoon before the wedding. For now, even though it stings a little to say it, I'd like to wish the new couple a lifetime of love and satisfaction, and I hope that they start a family with a few kidlets soon. And when they do have children, I'd like to suggest Paul as a boy's name, or Paula for a girl ; )

enough saccharine! take me home!
