My friends and I were SO pumped
to see them this time. We had listened to their cd so much, that
it was exciting to finally get to sing along live. 22 Jacks opened
for the band, they were alright. But I wouldn't ever go buy their
cd or anything like that. I can't remember who was the second band,
so I can't say anything about that. Then
Reel Big Fish
came on. Now, I was seeing them in this tinier club the last one.
I couldn't believe that all 7 members fit on the stage. But as my
friends and I knew, they put on a great show!! I skanked so hard
and sang so loud, that I was annoying these 2 guy just standing behind
me. I also befriended the girl who sold their merchandise, who, at
the time, was Andrew's girlfriend. She reminded my friend and I of
Punky Brewster. She watched out beverages and we skanked away in
the pit. Which we thought was really neat of her.
After the show I really had
my heart set on talking to Scott. That was like, the goal of the
night. So my friends and I hung out afterwards, a few members of
the band were just hanging around. My best friend, got to go up to
Aaron and tell him that she adored his sunglasses (the checkered ones)
and showed him her own checkered ones she had bought (that were yellow
and black checkered). We had him as well as Tavis, Dan, Andrew, and
Matt all sign our booklets from inside of "Turn Off the Radio". I'm
still wondering where the hell my Scott is.
After a lot of waiting, I was
just like, "Let's go". Even though I was really bummed out that I
didn't get Scott (nor Grant even) to sign my booklet as the rest had done.
I went home super sad.
