My best friend and I were excited
for this show, because we were going to show Aaron and Scott the t-shirts
we had made with them on it. I had a bright yellow t-shirt with the
picture from "Turn Off the Radio's booklet printed on the front and on
the back it read, "Scottie Girl". Then my best friend had a gray
t-shirt that had the picture of Aaron from the same booklet and "Aaron
Chick" printed on the back.
The first band was Kara's Flowers.
Which, are a really talented young band. I didn't really get into
their show much, but I really did enjoy their music.
The second band was the Aquabats
and boy was that fun!! That was the first time I had ever seen then
and did I think they were something else. They were so different
from any other show that I had been to, so creative and had the crowd get
involved. They even had Aaron come out as the magic chicken.
Which made me and my best friend laugh.
The Reel
Big Fish came
on-stage. Yeah!! I crowd surfed for the first time at that
show. It was so hot in there, that when I left, it was as if someone
had just tossed a whole bucket of water onto me. And it wasn't even
all my sweat.
After the show, my best friend
waited around to let our hero's see our shirts. Aaron was out first
and my best friend showed him her shirt and he totally dug it, thinking
it was really neat. He signed his name on the most non-wet spot on
the shirt and even gave her a hug. Meanwhile, I'm nagging the back
stage guard to go and get Scott, because I just had to show him my shirt
before I went. After a ton of patience Scott comes out. I'm
really bummed because he tells me that he has a cold and I don't want my
hero to ever be sick. But I show him my shirt, which probably scared
him, but he said that he liked it and he also signed the most non-wet spot
that he could find. I asked him for a hug (not caring if he got me
sick, cause I would have been damn proud to have a cold that passed from
him!!). Then my best friend and I left, very satisfied.
