"There are so many; it's a daily occurence with me. We were in Toronto, and there was a girl in the audience whom I was looking at and trying to sing to, and be cool and stuff, and I was backing up. I backed up over one of the wedges and the guitar player had on the floor, and I fell and landed headfirst on stage. My microphone flew out into the audience and my headphones came off. It was a disaster! I thought I would have heard a dead silence from the audience, but I heard roaring laughter. Nobody cared about my health... They just laughed! "Another time we were doing this thing for the NFL and the United Way, and Jerry Rice was there, and we were all on risers. I was standing on one that was one height and he was on one that was a couple feet behind me. I turned around and stuck my hand out and said 'Hey Jerry, what's up!' and stepped to the right and there was no riser there. I fell off the stage and everyone started laughing. That was probably my most embarassing moment ever!"

"When I was a kid we lived by this field and there were houses being built behind us. I used to hang out with this kid who lived a block away and I used to go through the fields to his house. One time there was this huge storm and my dad told me to come home. So I ran across the mud that was like quicksand. I fell in the mud and got stuck in it up to my chest, and I was like screaming 'Dad! Somebody help me' I was stuck in the mud and thought I was going to die. My neighbor came out and pulled me out with a big branch and saved my life. It was just like in the movies. When I got home my mom pulled my dad out of the shower so he could see me. My father had been looking out the window, watching me struggle and cracking up!" |
