Chapter 9

"Are you sure you still want to do this?" Aleesha asked as she, Catherine and Jess stood outside
 the cafeteria at lunchtime.
   "Yeah, I have to," Catherine replied.  "If I don't I'm gonna regret it."
   "You go girl," Aleesha smiled, putting her arm around Catherine's shoulders.
   "I'm going in," Jess stated.  "I'll see you girls in there."
   "Okay," Aleesha nodded.
   "Good luck," Jess said, giving Catherine and Aleesha a hug.
   "Thanx darl," Catherine smiled as Jess walked into the cafeteria.
   "Are you sure you wanna go through with it?" Aleesha asked again.  "I mean, after what happened
 this morning, we won't care if you pull out now."
   "What are you ladies up to?" Kevin asked as he came up to them.  "And what the hell are you
 wearing?"
   "What's wrong with what we're wearing?" Aleesha smiled.
   Both Aleesha and Catherine were wearing knee-length, light brown coats, their bare legs showing
 underneath, and had black, knee-height high-heeled boots on.
   "Ummm, ya's just look, uh, kinda...different," Kevin replied.  "Anyway, Catherine, are you alright
 now?"
   "Yeah I'm fine," Catherine replied.  "Are you going into the cafeteria?"
   "Yeah, you?"
   "In a sec," Catherine said.  "Sit at your usual table, okay?"
   "I'm not sitting with Brad," Kevin stated.
   "Kevin, please," Catherine said.
   "Yeah, okay," Kevin replied.  "Why?"
   "You'll find out," Catherine said as Kevin entered the cafeteria.
   "So I'm guessing you're going with them?" Aleesha asked.
   "Yeah, unless you want to go to Devin," Catherine said.
   "No, that's cool," Aleesha stated.  "I'm actually thinking about going to AJ and those guys anyway."
   "Well, if you REALLY want to," Catherine said.  "So, we ready?"
   "Yeah, I think so," Aleesha replied.  "Let's go, luvie."
   "Uh huh," Catherine said as she pushed open the cafeteria door and they walked in.

   They headed for seperate ends of the cafeteria, a few guys were already looking at them,
 completely unaware of what was about to happen.  Aleesha walked over and stood next to AJ's
 table, at which he, Brian, Howie, Nick and Tyson were sitting.
   "What's up?" AJ asked.
   "Shhh," Aleesha said, putting a finger to her lips.
   She turned and looked towards Catherine, who hadn't arrived at Kevin's table yet.
   Catherine could feel herself suddenly getting extremely nervous the second she saw Brad, but
 she kept going.  Kevin was sitting at his usual table with the other guys from the football team, Brad,
 Rich ad Devin were just a few of them.  Catherine stopped next to Kevin and looked back at
 Aleesha.
   They nodded subtly to each other, then Aleesha took a deep breath and put one foot on the empty
 seat next to AJ, then put her other foot opn the table and stood up on it.
   Catherine had done the same, they were now standing on top of two tables at each end of the
 room,a nd had drawn the attention of most of the people in there.
   Aleesha looked at Claire and nodded.  Claire reached under their table and pulled out a stereo and
 set it on the table.
   Suddenly the song 'Touch It' by Monifah blared from the stereo and everyone went silent, looking
 around to see what was going on.  Aleesha gave Catherine a small smile, and at the exact same
 time they dropped their coats onto the table to reveal their identical, tiny black satin dresses.  Wolf
 whistles came from just about every guy in the cafeteria as Catherine and Aleesha began to move
 seductively to the music.
   Catherine danced in front of each guy for a few seconds, then she got to Kevin.  She knelt down in
 front of him and started moving her hips in time to the music.
   "You are seriously one crazy chick," he laughed quietly.
   "I know," Catherine smiled, blowing him a playful kiss, then stood up and continued dancing.
   All the guys in the room were clapping and cheering, while their girlfriends tried to stop them.
   "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" Mr Marquez shouted as he walked in and found
 Catherine and Aleesha table-top dancing.
   "RUN!" Aleesha screamed to Catherine.
   AJ stood up and grabbed Aleesha's hand, helping her down off the table.  Catherine jumped down
 to head for the back door of the cafeteria, hurting her ankle as she hit the floor.  Kevin jumped up
 and grabbed her around the waist, helping her up.  She put her arm around his shoulder as he
 helped her run from the room.  A couple of other footballers huddled around the door after Catherine
 and Aleesha were out, preventing Mr Marquez from following them.
   The crowd of people were still applauding, but Principal Marquez was trying to calm them down.
