“Are you still looking at that ring?”, Brian asked amused at the breakfast table the next morning. “I can’t help it. It is so beautiful!”, Haley screeched. “You can thank AJ for that.” “He helped you pick it out? When did you have time for that?”, Haley asked him. “Remember yesterday when AJ and I said we were going to the studio. Well, we went shopping for a ring. We saw that one and knew it was perfect for you.”, Brian said kissing her cheek. “You did a good job. I love it!! I can’t wait to get to work and show it to Kameron! I can’t believe I am getting married!” It was obvious that Haley was on cloud nine. So was Brian. “Well you better get a move on or you are going to be late.”, Brian said looking at the clock.
An hour later, Haley was at work. As soon as she saw Kameron she pulled her into the nurses lounge. She held up her ring proudly. “Oh my gosh!”, Kameron exclaimed when she saw it. “You are getting married!?!?!” “Yes. He asked me last night!” The girls hugged and jumped around. Every other nurse came over and congratulated her. “Will you be my maid of honor?”, Haley asked Kameron seriously. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
*1 Week Later*
The guys were on their tour. Haley and Kameron took advantage of the time and went dress shopping for the wedding. That way they would have no interference from the guys. “I like that one.”, Kameron said pointing to a wedding dress on the rack. “Oh. That is pretty. I am going to go try that one on!”, Haley said running for it. She went into the dressing room and slipped it on. It was white with thick straps that fastened behind her neck. It was tight until it got to the waist and then filled out at the bottom. It had a fairly long train with a beautiful vail. She emerged from the dressing room and both girls nodded. “Now that my dress is taken care of. We have to pick out your dress!”, Haley said zipping the bag up that contained her wedding dress. “What colors did you and Brian decide on for the wedding?”, Kameron asked looking around at the dresses. “Red and white. We thought the looked pretty together.” “Those are pretty colors.”, Kameron said. Within an hour the girls had found the maid of honor dress for Kameron.
That night Haley was sitting at home watching television when the telephone rang. “Hello?”, she said happily. She knew it was going to be Brian somehow. “Hey babe. What are you doing?”, Brian asked cheerfully. Hearing her voice made him so happy. “I am just watching television and relaxing. Kameron and I went dress shopping today for the wedding.” “Did you find anything?”, he asked with such a sweetness in his voice. “Yes. We got my wedding dress and Kameron’s dress. They are both beautiful dresses.”, Haley said smiling. “That’s great babe. I can’t wait to marry you.” “You don’t have to wait much longer. We are getting married next month.” They had set a date for April 4th. “I know.” “Have you decided on your best man yet?”, Haley asked. Brian was having a hard time deciding on who to pick. He didn’t want to pick between the guys. “Yeah. I have picked Nick. He is my best friend. I think the guys will understand. Nick has been there for me right from the very beginning.”, Brian explained. “That’s great honey. I was kind of rooting for Nick.”, Haley joked. They both laughed. “So when will you be home?” “Tuesday. I can’t wait to see you.” “I can’t wait to see you either.” “I better go babe. We have to get on a plane very early in the morning. I love you.” “I love you too. Talk to you soon. Bye.” “Bye.”
*April 4*
“Haley wake up!”, Kameron yelled as she jumped on the bed. Haley had spent the night at Kameron’s house. Both Brian and Haley wanted to stick to wedding tradition and not see each other before the wedding. “It’s your wedding day!”, Kameron screeched. “I know! I know!”, Haley said rubbing her eyes. It was 10:00. The wedding was at 4:00. The reception was going to be held in the banquet hall of the church following the wedding. Brian refused to tell her where they were going for their honeymoon. The girls ate breakfast and watched a movie before deciding to go to the church and get ready. Haley was so nervous. She had butterflies in the pit of her stomach. When they reached the church, they were on the lookout for Brian. They knew the guys had to be in the church somewhere. It was only 2 and a half hours until the wedding. When they got into the church, they went into Haley’s dressing room. Both Jackie and Haley’s mom, Joni, where already in there. They had brought Haley’s dress and the other necessities such as makeup and hairspray. “Are you ready to get married?”, Joni asked hugging Haley. “I’ve never been more ready for anything in my life!”, Haley exclaimed. “Good! Now let’s get you all dolled up to go see my son at the alter!”, Jackie gleamed.
*2 hours later*
“You look so good!”, Kameron said softly. They had fixed Haley’s hair in a French twist with curls around her face. Her vail looked so beautiful with her hair like that. There was a knock at the door. “Who is it?”, Kameron asked hoping it wasn’t Brian. “It is all of us guys except for Brian!”, AJ yelled through the door. Kameron let them in and closed the door behind them. Their jaws dropped when they saw Haley. “Wow!”, Howie hollered. “I take it you guys like it!”, Haley laughed. “You are going to make Brian faint!”, Kevin said kissing her cheek. “Thanks guys.” “I don’t mean to sound mean or anything but can Kameron and I have a little time alone. I want to talk to her before the wedding.’, Haley pleaded nicely. “Ofcourse.”, Jackie said softly. They all left the room and left Haley and Kameron to talk. “Well girl. I guess this is it.”, Kameron said almost crying. “I just want to thank you for everything. Ever since that first day of school, you have been my rock I have leaned on. You were there for me through everything. We are sisters. Maybe not by blood, but as far as I’m concerned we are sisters.”, Haley said her eyes beginning to tear up. “Now don’t you start crying on me! I don’t want to do your makeup again!”, Kameron said wiping Haley’s eye. They laughed. Kevin knocked on the door. “It’s time Haley.”
