"Well you're just 17..."
That's the artist's excuse for this frightful rendering, anyway - but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?!
Yet another recent archeological finding in the "As It Began..." department here at SHA Central, here's proof of where one little girl's thoughts were back in 1976! (hmmm... some things never change, do they? :-)
In case you haven't figured it out yet, this is a rather sorry drawing of the winged Brian May by a little wannabe artist named Catherine some 25 years ago. (did some pretty lopsided Queen crests on the PeeChee folder, too!)
Her very first Queen doodles were in her diary, actually, and were of young Brian and the dreamy-eyed Roger as appearing on the lyrics poster that came with the original Sheer Heart Attack album in 1974 - something she spent more time with than the boys in SHA did with THAT Jazz poster (no, it's true, really it is! ;-)
Anyway, now you know exactly WHY one little album artwork fanatic was so bummed to hear that there was no Sheer Heart Attack poster in the "all-inclusive" Crown Jewels set. Grrrrr... ;-)
Oh well, guess she could always draw her own... (NOT!!!)so do I win the prize for silliest waddle down memory lane, yet? --CZ
