        | A
Merseyside favourite, "Some Other Guy" would have made a good follow-up
to "A Shot Of Rhythm And
Blues" while the latter was reasonable fresh in people's
memories.  Like that cut Green is double-tracked to good effect but sadly
it remained in the can for the next three decades.  The Big Three's
version a few months later on Decca (actually their Decca demo!!) nearly
cracked the top twenty showing the song's potential.  It has to be said
though that by this time the Beatles, Gerry Marsden, etc. had by then
paved the way for the next wave of bands. |

        | Some other guy now, has taken my love
away from me Oh now, some other guy now, taken away my sweet, sweet thing
Oh now, some other guy now, I just don't want to hold my brow
Oh now, I'm the lonely one, lonely as I can be

Some other guy now, pickin' up a woman like a yellow dog
Oh now, some other guy now, taken my love just like a hound
Oh now, some other guy now, I just don't want to hold my brow
And now, I'm the lonely one, lonely as I can be

Some other guy now, has taken my love away from me

 (instrumental break)

Some other guy now, is making me very, very mad
Oh now, some other guy now, she's the best girl I ever had
Oh now, some other guy now, I just don't want to hold my brow
And now, I'm the lonely one, lonely as I can be

Some other guy, taken my love
 Taken my love away
 Ahh, yeah
 (improvise to fade)
