                Mills-Weske, 1964.  Recorded: 14-05-64 |

Johnny Kidd (voc) - Mick Green (lead)
        - Johnny Spence (bass) -
Frank Farley (drums) - Vic Cooper (keyboards) |
        | The
last song by the band written (if only in part) by manager Gordon Mills,
who was soon to experience greater success with Tom Jones. The stereo
recording shows the best 'take' of this song in it's virginal state and
demonstrates work that could be done to bring about the best recording
possible within studio time constraints. The "best take" would probably
be mixed down to mono first. The first middle eight with it's shuffling
off-beat was cut out and a copy of the smoother second middle eight was
inserted instead. As the recordings' end was weak, a special, short "edit
        piece" was recorded, consisting of just the song's final flourish;
        this would be edited on
        later. See "Recording Methods"
        for more information. |

        | Hey Jealous Girl Why do you want to cry
Why do you sit and sigh all day

 Hey jealous girl
You know that I love you
So don't be sad and blue this way

 There's nothing wrong with you
A little loving won't put right
Then all I ask of you
Is give - your love - to me
 Tonigh-igh-igh-ight

 Hey jealous girl
Our love is plain to see
So won't you come on, smile for me

 Hey jealous girl
You know that I love you
So don't be sad and blue
 I love you, Jealous girl
 I love you

 (instrumental break)

 There's nothing wrong with you
A little loving won't put right
Then all I ask of you
Is give - your love - to me
 Tonigh-igh-igh-ight

 Hey jealous girl
You know that I love you
So don't be sad and blue
 I love you, Jealous girl
 I love you
