This track is a very interesting rarity, in that Kidd & Co's recording
displays a verse entirely lacking in the Fortunes' better-known charting version.  The latter's single was released quite some time
after this recording was laid down, the following year in fact.
For Kidd to see his recording remain unreleased, then see
the Fortunes' version make the Top Twenty
must have really pee'd off everyone, by which time John Weider was long
        gone. |

        | This golden ring's gonna make quite sure
of my baby's heart This golden ring's gonna make quite sure that we never part
It's so funny what a ring can do, make a girl just like you
Take a ride round town, looking for a wedding gown

This golden ring's gonna bring a little tear to my baby's eye
She's gonna be so happy and just like a woman she'll cry-iy-iy-iy
She will cry and I know, that no mater what the future will hold
It's gonna be, the two of us eternally

So I've got a ring for my baby
And I'm thinkin' pretty soon that maybe
 That girl will be mine
I'm gonna have an angel divine
And everything is workin' out fine, so fine
 Yeah fine, whoa fine

 (instrumental break)
