I didn't get a good chance to check out these guys at the Jimmie's Chicken Shack show last month cuz I was really late but LIVE ALIEN BROADCAST will be at the Vault. Go check them out and hopefully there will be more people there than the first time I went to the vault..hahahhaha. I did make it to this show but I got their late as usual. I really wanted to catch the 1st opening band "BALTIC AVENUE". That's like the game monopoly...baltic avenue is like 60 bucks and if you own both the purple properties, you are officially "The Slum Lord"! I don't even know what kind of music these guys play but I've missed them twice! I got to the Vault right before the second band "ERNIES" came on. There were definately more people there this time than when I saw SECOND COMINGS a couple months back but you know what? That guy/girl ratio isn't all that good. There were way too many chics at this show and with only one bathroom, standing in line was something to get used to. One of the barmaids said that business has picked up some in general so that's great! Let's see, the ERNIES sounded pretty good...a bit different than what I'm used to hearing. The lead singer is the saxophone player too so that was interesting to see a mix of instruments. They also had a DJ mixing different sounds so it was certainly interesting. LIVE ALIEN BROADCAST were great. The lead singer sounded so much better than when I caught them opening for Jimmie's Chicken Shack two weeks ago. I believe the guy had the flu the last time and he's better this time. They were very high energy which I definately got into. I've seen their guitarist a few times at concerts. He's pretty good up on that stage cuz he really gets into the music. Over all, the show was awesome. Next time I will have to remember not to drink all my money away so I can pick up their CD. I had a great time, I'll check them out again next time!

WHFS (99.1 FM) is hosting their Winterpalooza at the Inner Harbor on Rash Field. This is a FREE show and will include bands such as COLOURING LESSON, THE BEANS, AND GOOD CHARLOTTE. You can check out this show if it's not raining and then swing on over to the Vault to catch the above show! This was majorly gay!! Not only did I not attend this show, I called the radio station to ask them when it started and the Dj was like...."I don't know what you're talking about!" It's on their fuckin' site and they don't know what I'm talking about?????? Screw them...I hate HFS. It's rare that I listen to their station cuz they play pretty sucky songs. That's why I don't mention the station on my site cuz I don't like them at all...so much for giving them a chance and posting something they are hosting...hahhaha. They are a joke!

Paramount's Laser Spectacular set to the music of Pink Floyd! 98 Rock sponsored event at the Lyric Opera House! Tickets are $18.50 in advance and $22.50 at the door available through Ticket Master or at Lyric box office. I am definately checking this thing out...I've never seen laser lights so this will definately be a treat for both my ears and my eyes! I got my tickets on Monday and the first show is sold out! I guess they added a second show cuz I got 3rd row tickets for the 11pm show. What an awesome time! I've never seen anything like it. Definately a must see at least once in your lifetime! They showed video footage from "The Wall" according to my guest and they played all the popular Floyd tunes. Even those the laser lights were way cool, I still miss getting up and dancing to the music at a regular concert...hahahha..

Were you there on New Year's Eve when Daytonas welcomed Funny Money for their festivities? I was there and Funny Money were great! Definately check them out for just 5 dollars. Doors always open at 8pm at Daytonas! Once again, these guys are great! There were a lot of people there tonight. I thought the huge crowd at their last show was because it was new years eve but my theory is blown! They sounded great despite some technical problems but that's cool. You just find out exactly how personable this band is and how little things didn't bother them as they totally kept their cool about it all. After the show, my friend and I met one of the guitarist and he was really nice! I loved his long blonde hair. He said that they will be exhales in Frederick soon for a few shows so check them out if you're out that way!

BURN at Daytonas. $5.00 cover and doors at 8pm. Last minute decision landed me at Daytonas to see BURN! I'd never seen them before let alone know what type of music they play but let me tell you....BURN rocked! It's weird how things work out that way.....I was sitting here this weekend wondering if there was a band in town (local band) that played TOOL cover tunes....well, that is what BURN did! They played all cover tunes and they opened with two songs from TOOL's Aenima CD! I was so flipping out about it. I love TOOL! They also did Metallica, Tonic, Megadeth covers as well. I had such a good time and it wasn't even planned! The band before them were pretty good too. They were WITHOUT REASON. We got there toward the end of their set and they finished off with Shimmer by FUEL and two Rage Against The Machine cover tunes! I talked to the lead singer for a bit after the show and RATM is his favorite band. I also talked to one of the guitarists for BURN and man, this guy reminds me of Jerry Cantrell! I even told him that. hahaha. But they sounded great! Definately check them out in the future and they will be at Daytonas a lot this coming month including a video taping on this thursday at Daytonas!

This is a BOHAGER'S EVENT starting at 2pm this sunday. "The Last Dance" featuring the last local music event. Bands such as: THE KELLY BELL BAND, LAUGHING COLORS, ONCE HUSH, COLOURING LESSON, MARY PRANKSTER, CRUSHING DAY, THE PAWNS, GINGHAM SHMUZ, AND BLUE MIRACLE. More may be announced! The cost is $15.00 for 21 years or older and $20.00 for under 21. There should be a huge crowd at this show all day long! This was a great show despite my lateness! I did miss the first maybe 3 bands but what I saw was pretty good. However, there were a few bands that didn't agree with me....like Mary Prankster! Pardon me but she so fuckin sucks....I'm not particularly fond of female singers but there are some that are great like the lead singer of Gingham Shmuz. She's got a very powerful voice with excellent range! That Mary Prankster was really awful...even her lyrics were horrible. I'm sure there are ppl who like her music so I won't talk too bad about her...just because she didn't fit my tastes. Laughing Colors were awesome as usual. I ran into the guitarist from Live Alien Broadcast and he was way cool. They are going to be at the 8X10 on friday so I think I'll go check 'em out with Rebel Amish Radio. All in all, I had a good time and was pretty drunk too. Bohager's got a great sound system and lights too. It's really too bad they are moving. I used to go there a lot and concerts there were always fun.
