This is a band that I will never get sick of! I've seen JIMMIE'S CHICKEN SHACK about 5 times in concert and each time I see 'em, they are even better than the last time!!


I was turned onto them when their song "HIGH" hit it big across the country. I was driving around with a guy I dated back then, Kenny and the song came on the radio and he was like...."you gotta check out this band...they are awesome!" I think he probably liked the song cuz he was into the whole natural herb smokin' thing but I took a liking to the song because of the heavy guitar sounds and the massively high energy of the song...plus the singer had really great vocals!


I picked up their CD PUSHING THE SALMANILLA ENVELOPE days later and loved their stuff! It was an instant liking to their tunes....all of them! There isn't a bad track on that CD at all! Everything song rock!! Whenever I get a bit depressed and down, their CD is one of the ones I'll listen to and it totally lifts me up!


The vocals are amazing! That is so important if a band is gonna make it big....without the powerful vocals with good range, the band is shit! Their songs are fun but kinda deep if you really read into it. I love the guitar riffs in most of the songs...guitar is a huge thing for me so I gotta love a bands guitar performances if I'm gonna love the band!


The first time I saw JIMMIE'S CHICKEN SHACK was at Daytonas, I believe and I had such a good time. It is always rowdy at their shows. It's amazing being in that kind of crowd....you're packed in there like sardines but the vibe of the crowd is totally worth being squished like a fish! hahaha.


I've seen them a few times at Daytonas and I also caught them with CREED at Merriweather Post Pavillion last year! I totally lucked out and was sitting 3rd row center! Great show! You definately have to see them live to get a good sense of the kind of energy these guys put out. Definately worth the price of admission! I can't wait for their next album which I hear they are working on and they need to play more shows in the area! Check out their official website below!
