REPEAT PRE-CHORUS AND CHORUS

(Same chords as first line of chorus for "oooo oooo" bit.)

REPEAT CHORUS

C'EST LA VIE

NOTE: I've used / as the key for "slide".
i.e. ---1/3-- would mean slide from 1 to 3 up the frets.

Intro
-----
Listen carefully to the 1st couple of seconds of the song to get a feel for
the rhythm that you should play for this little part

**Electric Guitar - (clean + switch in treble position.)

----7--7---8--8-8-8-8---7--7---5--5-5-5-5--
----8--8---8--8-8-8-8---8--8---7--7-7-7-7--repeat forever and a day
----7--7---7--7-7-7-7---7--7---------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------

the bottom line; i.e. all the 7s on the G string are optional.
It doesn't sound like they are played, but they can be added
in and out adlib (IMHO). Try muting them on and off with your
fretting hand. Or just don't play them at all
after playing the above 1 and a half times, the bass comes in...

**Electric Bass (clean)
this is played just for the "huh, huh, huh huh" bit....
------------
------------
------------
-1--1--1/3--

...from then on it plays this
----------------------------
----------------------------
-------3---3-2---0--0-0-0---
----3-----------------------

Verse 1
-------
Just carry on playing the guitar and bass as you were for the intro. It's just the same.
This continues like this until the pre-chorus..

Pre-Chorus 1
------------
This is the bit from "gotta let me in" to "blow you away!" (start 0:35)
To make this sound right, use LOTS of fretting hand muting.
(Y'know the sort, make it sound like "wchk, wchk, etc, etc")
Bet that little "wchk" made it clearer...

The bass part is just a rough guess. It sounds alright
when I play along, but the bass is probably doing a lot more.
No, sorry, I've just improved the bass part slightly.. Gawd...
that sounds damn good now. I don't even play the bass!

Gotta let me in, hey hey hey Let the fun begin. He-ey.
**Electric Guitar (treble position - clean)
-7-7-7-7-7-7-7--9-9-9-9-9-9-9----8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8--7-7-7

**Electric Bass (clean)

<*****************sustain*******************************>

I'm the wolf today, hey hey hey. I'll huff, I'll puff, I'll huff I'll puff, I'll blow you away!
**Electric Guitar (treble position - clean)
-7-7-7-7-7-7-7------9-9-9-9-9-9-9----8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8
-8-8-8-8-8-8-8------10101010101010---8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8
-7-7-7-7-7-7-7------9-9-9-9-9-9-9----7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**Electric Bass (clean)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------0/5------------5///////8----------8-----------8-----8----8----8----8////10//12/15
<*****************sustain****************>

straight after this, the song progresses to the chorus...

Chorus 1
--------
Both the bass and the guitar play the same as the verse.

Verse 2
-------
Both the bass and the guitar play the same as verse 1.

Chorus 2
--------
Both the bass and the guitar play the same as chorus 1.

Then, that little irish jig bit...

Little Irish Jig Bit 1 (key change occurs at 2:03ish)
---------------------------------------------------------
For this, the bass and guitar play exactly the same
as the chorus and the verse, but the song has shifted
up a key one full tone.
The guitar just slides up and starts playing around A instead of G:

**Electric Guitar (still clean.. and don't touch that pickup switch )
            <***staccato***>
----9--9----10---10-10-10-10---9--9----7--7-7-7-7-
----10-10---10---10-10-10-10---10-10---9--9-9-9-9-
----9--9----9----9--9--9--9----9--9---------------
--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

whereas the electric bass steps up to the new key:
**Electric Bass
---------------------------
---------------------------
-------------5--5-4--2-2-2-
--3-4-5-6--5---------------

from then on, it just plays..

-------------------
-------------------
-----5--5-4--2-2-2-
--5---------------

Chorus, and Outro chorus
------------------------
Both the guitar and the bass play the same riffs, but in the new key.
(I.e. as above)

Distorted Slide
---------------
Note: Every now and then, you'll hear a distorted guitar slide down.
Before the key change, the guitar is sliding down from a G chord; after it is A.
To do this, use power chords, lots of distortion, and just play the chord, and slide down as it is dying out

FREAK OUT

OK, so this songs guitar part is STUPIDLY easy...
for best results, play the barred chords for these...

Right.. when the song starts.. the guitar strums away on a chord...

INTRO...
D D D D D D D D D D
D D D D D D D D D D
D D D D D D D D D D D...

C C C D D D C C C D D.... etc, etc...

This chord strumming above pretty much carries you thro the whole song... really... that's all the guitar part appears to
be... for the verse and chorus, use the C/D thing... for the pauses use the D thing..

Listen to the CD and play along.. It'll soon become obvious.

But then, near the end, there's a key change... It happens at about (1:52). It's blatantly obvious, tho..

anyway, the chords here change to:

C# C# C# Eb Eb Eb C# C#, etc, etc...

The only advice I have is "try not to fall asleep whilst playing it.. just try to relish on how easy the rhythm guitar
part for this song is..."
Oh, and USE barred chords.. not that you have a choice with the part after the key change
It'll be much easier, and sounds a hell of a lot better too!

NEVER GIVING UP

Never giving up now

  A
Taking it to the limit

 E B A

REPEAT OUTRO CHORUS x 1

ROLLERCOASTER

Here's a key firstly
5b7 - Bend the string on the fifth fret to the pitch of the seventh fret
7r5 - Release the bend on the fifth fret, lowering the pitch back down to that of the fifth fret
5b7r5 - Bend up then release again

the strings are represented thusly so:
E-----------
B-----------
G-----------
D----4------
A----0------
E-----------
The number indicates the fret that u play. In the above example, fret D at 4th, and play A open... ahh, Harmonious, eh??

But, now onto the song:

If anybody wants to correct any of this tab, feel free, I would really appreciate it. I know a _Lot_ of it is wrong, BTW. Oh, another thing. The timing implied by the spacing is only very rough, BTW.
Listen to the track to understand where I'm headed with it.

INTRO
Here's the intro. Or, what I made of the intro:
-------------------------------------------------
2--3------2--3------2--3----5-----5b7--r5-3------
--------------------------------------------4-2--
-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------

VERSE
Then, just follow the pattern for one line of the verse, and then the song begins (over that same riff):
Ok, here's that riff (as I see it) that carries most of the verse.
To me, this sounds like a bass is playing is playing the bassy bit, and a guitar is raking out a chord over it.
Consider this part to be a compromise between the two, with the guitar playing both .

Today's the day, We're out to play.We lost our way, it's always the same, oh baby now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------3----------------------3----------------------3----------3------5------------5b7--r5--3-------------
--------------------4----------------------4----------------------4------------------------------------4-2---------
-2-2---4-4--------------2-2---4-4--------------2-2---4-4-----------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PRE-CHORUS
The next significant change is for the "come and sit beside us" bit.. Lets call that the pre-chorus:
For this, from what I can hear, you rake out D, then Dsus4, then D, then Dsus4 (get the idea?)

-----2------2----------3-----3-----
---3------3------3---3-----3-----3-
-2------2------2---2-----2-----2---
-----------------------------------	REPEAT UNTIL CHORUS
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

CHORUS
Then for the chorus:

come on come on get it on we're riding in a rollercoaster
come on come along get it on we're riding in a rollercoaster of love

------------7-5-3---------10-9-7-------------------------7---5---2----------
-7-5-3------7-5-3---------10-9-7-------------------------7---5---2----------
-6-4-2----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then straight back to the verse riff. If you want something to play whilst the fiddle bit is on:

FIDDLE BIT :)
mute and unmute these chords rapidly (with your fretting hand) to the timing of the fiddle.
You'll know what I mean, if u listen to the song.

--2x2---------3x3-----------2x2--------0x0-------
--3x3---------3x3-----------3x3--------3x3-------
--2x2---------2x2-----------2x2------------------
------------------------------------------------- REPEAT ONCE
-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------

OK, so this transcription is far from being complete, or right (for that matter), but it should get u through the bulk
of the song. As I say, all comments are welcome.
