 Well this is my TAB for Hitchin' a Ride. TAB Date: October 29, 1997.  I've
 been working and updating this one for quite some time now, and I'm pretty
 sure it's perfect, although I may STILL have some parts wrong. If this  is
 true, please lemme know and send me the correct version.  Someone  pointed
 out to me: "why does the bass line goes like this (fig. 1) instead of just
 playing the root of the guitar during the solo like every bassist should?

 Ahem. Because Mike Dirnt is more than just an  average  bassist.  The  2-2
 instead of 7-7 I put there for ease of playing. Plus on the video it looks
 like that's what they do anyways. If you listen closely (it helps  if  you
 have 3D sound on your soundcard/home stereo for this) you can hear him  do
 that neato 8th note run. I think it's really cool. Kinda mysterious, hmm?
