It

Words and Music by ADDA

Would you know it if it bit you, if it stared you in the face
Did you not expect to find it in its current hiding place
Was it simply an illusion that only it could see
Was it something that existed in its own reality

It has shown itself right to you, but the truth was never told
For fear of what might happen if it were to break the mold
It had been a secret that was proudly on display
Whether overlooked or ignored, it is really hard to say

It's a future memory
It's an expedition failed
It's a book that's left unfinished
There's no ending to its tale

But it is not as stupid as its foolish counterpart
It knows it would be better if it never had to start
It alone sees reason in the situation now
What it thinks is a mystery, an answer never found

And someday it will be gone likely never to return
For it once said that time, it is the fire in which we burn
Now it had been far better than it had ever dreamed
But no one listened in the darkness when the madness made it scream

It's a fairy tale scenario the world will never know
It will likely last forever though it died off years ago

Would you know it if it bit you, if it stared you in the face
Did you not expect to find it in its current hiding place
Was it simply an illusion that only it could see
Was it something that existed in its own reality

It was the sensation of staring at the sun
It was just as dangerous, but it was awful fun
