PROTAGORAS PRODUCTIONS SUMMER 2000 CALENDAR:

Jack Avorshilkian, visionary and true seer, constructed "Testicular Homicide" a towering 7-foot sculpture entirely out of congealed nasal mucus, both his own and those of local schoolchildren.

Mr. Avorshikian believes that in doing so, he is contesting society's structures which regulate the body and its processes. "No one is supposed to talk about snot," says Avorhsikian. "It is supposed to be quietly wiped away with sanitary tissues. Well I am here to say. Here it is. SNOT. In my sculptures I try to reveal the underlying nature of society, that it is built entirely on snot and its related substances."

Included in his collection is a bust of Nancy Reagan made of snot, and plaster-cast-like mold of his viagra-fueled erect member, also made entirely of snot. His works will be on display at the University of Maryland "Celebrate Diversity" Gallery from June 15 - to Aug 9, 2000.

The woman who brought us "Tabitha's Aureola" is now back with "Cocksmasher III" a multi-media experience. Set to a film loop of a man's penis being crushed in a vice, the Greater Glendale Lesbians of Color Orchestra performs Ms. Vagisil's latest composition, a 4 part work featuring Zelda Wozny on titclappers, Monica Phelps on Abortion Fetal Suction Machine, Heather Ramada on Xylophone, and Ayesha Mahfouz, who rattles a bag full of hypodermic needles percussively throughout.

"Cocksmasher III" will be performed on 3 nights at the Tawes Arts Building on the College Park Campus: Wednesday July 12, Wednesday July 19, and Saturday July 22. Get your tickets now.

On Saturday August 5, 2000, Protagoras Productions in concert with the UM Diversity Vanguard is having its 4th annual mudbathing lawn-copulation festival on the quaalude quad. A full array of organizations will be there, including UMMBLA, the Inter-species Erotic Expression League, and others.
