"TABITHA'S AUREOLA"
Live at the University of Maryland Tawes Arts Building
April 21, 1998, 8:30 PM
Tabitha's Aureola, the latest work by lesbian activist and
composer Mary J. Vagisil is a 12 hour long symphonic work for
glockenspiel, bull whip and wall-unit air conditioner. This
premier performance will begin promply at 8:30 PM. The doors
will be locked afterwards, so unless there is an emergency,
you will not be allowed to leave. Women are advised to bring
extra feminine hygiene products. There will, however, be a
short intermission and a vegetarian snack. Water will also be
served. It was the orignial wish of the composer to allow
only women to attend this performance. However, after some
negotiations with the University, it was decided to allow
men to attend this experience, on the condition that they
wear "Potential Rapist" name tags, prominently displayed on
their persons. If men feel threatened by this, it is suggested
not to attend.
This is a limited engagement. Please do RSVP at
