In 1972, Jack Hector was studying medicine at the University of San Juan when he became fed up with the bourgeois propaganda he was receiving and decided that he must do something to expose to the world the endless misery that we all rationalize away just to get by, and the only real solution: smashing the bourgeois hetero-patriarchal racist imperialist order. Being a doctor would just repair worker's bodies so they could more efficiently serve as corporate wage-slaves. NO. He would set their minds free with bold new visions of liberation as a filmmaker.

And so he bought a cheap 16mm camera and began shooting. His first works, of a young girl with a milk carton in a dog house, were not well received. They were laughed at . Undeterred, he began stealing small amounts of merchandise from stores and selling it to finance his big project "HELL NATION." However, he was arrested and charged with shoplifting and had to straighten out some things in his life before he could have any more of these movies. Unable to continue his old method of financing, he snuck on a plane to Italy in 1979, where he heard there were socialist communes in the North. In 1980 he received a grant from the Educational Ministry of Emilia-Romagna to produce a documentary of an "educational" nature, called "the Life and Thought of Socrates." The film, a brilliant masterpiece by any reasonable standard, was found "objectionable" and "unfit for children" by the Ministry and was never shown.

The films brilliance shines from the first opening scene: a close-up shot of a 50 year old bearded man fellating a young boy. The scene lasted 7 minutes, with no dialogue, no music, just slurping sounds as the credits roll. Then a second climactic scene occurs with the man, identified as Socrates, having anilingus performed on him for 15 minutes. Then we are transported to Athens where Socrates is arguing with Protagoras about the nature of eros. Protagoras says its about pleasure: Socrates agrees , but that true pleasure can only be had when there is universal sexual communism, administered by the Tribune-Plaka of the People. As Socrates expounds his complex and probing thoughts, a large hammer and sickle flag rises in the background over athens, symbolizing the inevitable victory of World Communism. An absolutely brilliant ending sequence!!

Nevertheless, the co-opted limozzine socialists of the Ministry couldn't handle true vision, so Mr. Hector came back to the United States and founded "Protagoras Productions" with money stolen from an old white bitch he beat senseless and left for dead in the lobby of a Luxury Hotel. He set up his headquarters in Aquavelva, AK, because the rents were real cheap, and because the Governor's mansion was close-by, with which he soon developed a lucrative client-relationship.

And so that's why its called "Protagoras".
