When the Manics supported Bon Jon 'making idols of guitars and haircuts' Bovi,
the hardcore element sighed and tried to make the best of it. At best, the Manics
were singing mostly to a crowd who didn't understand them, and they came across
as (shudder) just another rock band. Interesting, if only for the inclusion of
'Life Becoming a Landslide', a cool-but-edited take of 'Repeat', an
un-characteristically furious spurt of 'Stay Beautiful' (Notable for
"Guess-what-the-next-live-is?" and Nicky yelling Oi Oi Oi!) and
the thought of James with that RAAAAWWWKKK blonde hair!
