Fat Northerner Records

This new online label hails from Manchester. Fat Northerner has a passion for new artists and musicians based in their native Manchester. With the last notable movement to rise from the city was in the early 90’s. It’s now time for a new breed of music to emerge and Fat Northerner has a roster to do so. Hot acts to look out for are the Pioneers, a five-piece with delicate melodies. The singer Phil Zielder has a passionate voice and the music leaves you in a fragile but nice state.

If melodic pop is not your cup of tea, then try Slims. A trio with a range of hard pop rock tunes. The dirty sounds of the guitars and speed makes the whole Slims attack worth experiencing again and even louder, if at all possible!

The label’s compilation CD titled In the City is to coincide with the recent In The City music convention in Manchester. The CD has a good mixture of rock and dance acts that are on the Fat Northerner roster. Be prepared, the mancs are coming.
