This page is my Tribute to Kovu.
			If you don't know who Kovu is go and buy "Simbas Pride" or The Lion King II. Scar hand chose Kovu to follow in his Paw Prints. Kovu's destiny was to succeed Scar as the King of Pride Rock. Unfortunately, Scar lost his life to hyenas after a battle with Simba. Since Scar was dead, Kovu's mother Zira (Scar's Mate/Lioness) was sent into exile in the outlands. Zira militantly trained Kovu to hate Simba. Zira's master plan was to avenge Scar, kill Simba and regain control over Pride Rock. Zira wanted Kovu to be a cub with "a lust for being bad!" It would have been cool if Kovu did take over the Pride Lands. So in this web site, Kovu is ruling over the Pride. I think Simba's kinda girlie anyway. He was okay in the first TLK movie, but in TLKII..he kinda' leaves an ill aftertaste. Maybe it's because Simba spent too much time alone in the jungle with Timon and Pumba. If Simba hadn't had some type of offspring, I would have deffinately said he was gender bending (not to ofend anyone- but the nature.. of well.. nature is to reproduce). Another reason I bring up this point is because none of the other Lionesses in Simba's pride bore cubs!! Even Mufasa got that part right. Any way... Kovu was chosen by Scar to take his place as King- but don't worry, no incest here 'cause according to the edited version of the movie Scar isn't Kovu's Dad. We all think Scar is Nuka's true father. Nuka is Zira's oldest son and looks like a crack baby. Leave your own theories in the guestbook. There are a lot of holes in TLKII. So Zira must've had some other lion(s?)somewhere before before scar. ::grin:: I'd like to see Disney explain this one! The Original version of this video release was supposedly a lot better than the final product. In the original script Scar is Kovu's Father, but that would make Kovu and Kiara second cousins, so that script was thrown out. Zira also had a much better character- AND commits suicide, but thoes scenes were cut too. I love Kovu's character because he was true to himself. He had all this peer presure from his pride to conform to their standards, goals, and needs and he said SCREW IT! Yes, Zira did punish him for it, but Kovu still stuck by his own values. He WAS HIS OWN DAMN LION!! We can all learn something from Kovu. To stick to our own values-and not be swayed by the desires of others. Kovu allowed his mother/Zira to shape him- but he chose the final shape of his mold. That, makes Kovu the TRUE king of this story. Come browse the site now that he has taken over the pride. Hopefully we'll see the Pride Populated with CUBS, because I'm sure that KOVU will take care of business!!! I will be more than happy to post any drawings of the cubs Kovu (and Kiara) will bear! -
