Welcome to my ASIA homepage! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the band, ASIA was a supergroup formed in 1981 by former members of great progressive rock bands

JOHN WETTON ( ex-KING CRIMSON ) on bass and vocals, CARL PALMER ( ex-EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER ) on drums, STEVE HOWE ( ex-YES ) on guitars and GEOFF DOWNES ( also ex-YES ) on keyboards.

The band began it's story of success in 1982, with the release of their first album ASIA.That album featured the hits ONLY TIME WILL TELL and HEAT OF THE MOMENT.That album sold 9 million copies world wide.

In the next year the band released their second album, ALPHA, which also had two hits:DON'T CRY and THE SMILE HAS LEFT YOUR EYES.

In the year of 1985 the band released their first studio album without STEVE HOWE:ASTRA.That album is considered by many of the fans the best with WETTON on the vocals.

The band would only reunite again in 1990, for the release of THEN & NOW.That album was followed by a tour from which was recorded the album LIVE MOKBA.

After that album the vocalist JOHN WETTON left the band, being replaced by JOHN PAYNE in the album AQUA,

which featured the brief return of STEVE HOWE to the group, who after that album left the band, as well as CARL PALMER.

They were replaced by AL PITRELLI and MICHAEL STURGIS,and since then the band wouldn't be the same anymore.This line-up released various poor albuns, and the band lost forever the status of supergroup.
