Blimey. An American A&R man's wet dream. Three mouth-watering The Corrs sisters
(Sharon, Caroline, Andrea) and their brother (Jim) who can harmonise, play instruments and
write radio-friendly songs with just enough blarney to sucker the ex-patriate
transatlantic Irish, just enough new country to turn heads in Nashville, just enough AOR
to guarantee saturation radio play, and sultry looks that MTV would kill for. Naturally,
it's impeccably played, performed and recorded but too often the finished product comes
uncomfortably close to a cross between The Bangles and The Nolans. That may be enough to
shift multi-platinum quantities in America from now until doomsday but it's unlikely to
stand up to repeated plays if you like a bit of meat on your bone.
