CHAPTER ONE: Too Good To Be True
By Jessica
*seven months later*
"I can't believe you told him!"
"Taresa," I tried to explain, "I didn't -"
"Oh shut up Taylor, shut up! Inever wanna see you again!"
I couldn't believe it. We had been best friends for eleven years. And now, stupid me, I had to go screw it up.
The phone rang. Damn it. I didn't want to talk to anyone.
I picked up the reciever, "Hello?" I said wearily.
"Hi, who's your favorite pop artist?"
I was confused. Who the hell...? "Backstreet Boys, why?"
"And what's your favorite station?"
"95.7 - who the hell is this?" I was getting annoyed.
"Congratulations, you've just won a date with one friend, and the top in pop, the one and only - Backstreet Boys!"
"Aah!" I screamed, not noticing that my best friend had walked back into the room.
"Holy shit!" she screamed, "Taylor, what is your problem?"
I held up my finger, begging her to wait as the DJ gave me the detailes.
"I'm having dinner with the Backstreet Boys!" I screamed, getting off the phone.
"Oh, wonderful," she said gloomily,
I suddenly remembered something that I knew would make her happy AND win her back, "I also get to bring me best friend!"
"So?" she asked annoyed.
"So start packing!"
"You mean it?" her face brightened up.
"I heard Kevin is girlfriendless," I say causiously, "...of course I mean it, silly!" Forgetting about our argument, we both headed to our rooms to pack.
"How long will be be gone?" Taresa hollared through the wall.
"Three days... I think."
"What do you mean 'you think'?" she asked, walking into my room.
"well, let's see..." I said thoughtfully, "We leave tommorrow afternoon, then meet the guys the next morning and spend the day with them, then we leave the next morning. So yeah, three days."
"Wow, this is too good to be true."
