Heartache, Heartbreak, And Love: Taylor's Point Of View

CHAPTER FIVE: More Than Friends?

By Jessica

I knocked softly on the bathroom door. God, let there be no one else in there! A muffled voice came, "Go away please."

He must've known it was me... of course it was me! Any guy would just walk in, cuz, well, they're allowed to, and if it was Taylor, hell, she'd probably walk right in and said, "Now look here!" But no, not me.

I sighed, here goes nothing. I pushed the door open, big mistake: one of the employee's was... ew! I screamed and closed the door as I heard him say, "Jesus Christ, girl! What're you doin' in here!?!"

Brian stepped out, "What were you doing in there?"

"Well, I was planning on rushing in and begging your forgiveness, but ah... well, that's not quite what I had planned." We both laughed a little, then fell silent. "Brian, I didn't kiss him."

"Why would I - I mean, why wouldn't you?" He stuttered.

"Because I... I don't want to. To be quite honest," I moved closer, "I want to kiss you."

We kissed then. Nothing long or passionate, but something we had both been wanting to do all morning.

"Hey guys," Nick interrupted, "I hate to eat and run, so lets run and eat." He threw our food at us, "We're gonna be late for our interview if we don't leave... now."

I was on Cloud 2 all the way to the interview. And yes, I know the saying goes Cloud 9, but on my cloud, there were just two of us...

The day passed by quickly, and I spent the rest of it in a daze.

The next morning Brian woke me, insisting on taking me out to breakfast. We read the paper together, then came to the article about his "new girlfriend" - picture included. I told him we should go straighten things up, and I think he thought I didn't want to be his girlfriend... guys. What did it take to convince them? Maybe admitting it on national TV? Hmm...
