"That's it! Get away from me, I hate you!" Christine screamed.

"But Chris, I didn't -"

"Brian, it's bad enough you cheated on me, now you're going to try to lie to me?" Christine was furious, "I hate you Brian Littrell, and I never want to see your face again, now get outta my house!"

Christine slammed the door behind Brian and finally let the tears fall. They had been together almost three years, and that was the hardest thing she had ever had to do. She wanted to believe him, but how could she deny what she had seen with her own two eyes?

Brian drove down the road silently. He couldn't believe he had ruined the best three years of his life. If only she had let him explain...

Brian reached behind his seat for a tissue to dry his eyes. When he looked up he saw he was headed straight towards another car. He slammed on the brakes, but it was too late...

Since the person obviously wasn't hanging up Christine answered the phone, "Hello? ... He what!?! How is he? ... I see ... Of course! ... Thanks, Nick ... Bye."

Christine grabbed her keys and headed for the hospital.

Christine walked into the waiting room and saw Brian's parents, brother, and all the guys there. Then she heard the words she never wanted to hear, "I'm sorry, but we've lost him."

Nick was the first to notice her, "Christine, are you -"

Christine fled from the room, tears pouring from her eyes. She continued to run until she reached the park where she collapsed in a fit of sobbs.

"If only I hadn't broken up with him," she sobbed to herself, "If only I had let him explain himself, if only I had told him I love him..."

"Christine, hey, Christine, wake up."

Christine opened her eyes and saw something she never thought she'd see again, "Brian?"

"Yeah, who else? You kinda fell asleep," he told her.

She smiled and hugged him tightly, "I love you, Brian."

He hugged her back. "I love you too, babe," he said, with the most confused expression on his face...
