PART ONE
I walked into the music store, way excited. The Backstreet Boys had just released their new CD, Millennium. Walking over to the "Pop & Rock" section, I found their had been a whole display... all gone! No way! I walked up to the guy working the cash register, "Excuse me, do you have any more copies of Millennium?"
"Sorry, that guy just bought the last one," he motioned to a really hot guy walking toward the door.
"Wait!" I hollared, but he ignored me and started to walk faster. I ran to catch him. "Excuse me," I said out of breath, "Excuse me, is there any way I can buy that CD off you? Please, I'll pay twice as much as you bought it for."
The guy spun around. Oh my god! It's -- of the Backstreet Boys!!! "," I say surprised, "What're... I mean, why...? Hi," I finally manage to get out.
"Hi," he says with a grin, "How are you?"
"Good, I'm good," I said, still not believing my eyes, "You?"
"Pretty good myself," his eyes twinkled, "So how much were you gonna pay me for this CD?"
"Huh?" I momentarily forgot what we had been talking about, "Oh, right. The CD... $40, or more, but you'll have to let me get money from the ba -"
He cut me off with a laugh, "Forget it, you can have it for free... want me to autograph it?"
Wow, this was getting better and better! "Uh-hu!" I said excitedly.
He fished out a pen, "What's your name?"
"," I said.
He handed me the CD, "Maybe we can meet up later," he said, then quickly left as he heard a girl scream, "LOOK! It's !!!"
Looking at the CD I read what he wrote:
-

Wow, what a day.
PART TWO
"Hi, ?" I asked.
"No, this is , can I ask who's calling?"
"Yeah, can you tell him it's ?"
"Sure, hang on." I heard him yell in the background, "Hey, , some girl named is on the phone for you!"
A moment later picked up the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey, it's me."
"How are you?" he asked.
"Good," I say, "so why'd you want me to call?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out or something," he answered.
I nearly spit out the I was drinking, "What!?!"
"Is that a no?" he asked glumily.
"No! ...I mean, yes ...I mean, of course I'll go out with you!"
"Great, is tonight ok?"
"Tonight's great," I said, pulling out my date book. Opening it I found I was supposed to see a movie with , my best friend, but she would understand, I mean, this was we were talking about!
"Then I'll see you at eight," he hung up the phone without giving me time to say good-bye.
PART THREE
As soon as I hung up the phone I started worrying. What should I wear? Where will we go? Should I ear first, or are we going out to dinner? What if he doesn't like me? What if I don't like him? I stopped at the last one, realizing the only reason I was going out with him was because he was a Backstreet Boy, and felt aweful.
I decided to be honest with him when the doorbell rang that evening.
"Hi, ," I said, letting him in, "I need to tell you something."
"Yeah?" he asked, handing me a rose. Now that was too sweet.
"I need you to know something before we go out tonigh," I started.
"Wait, please don't tell me you have a seven foot tall boyfriend that's upstairs and is about to come down here and pound my head in."
"No," I said with a laugh, "No, but seriously. I was thinking, and I realized the only reason I agreed to go out with you was because you were a Backstreet Boy. I didn't know anything about you, and I know that was a bad decision, but I would still like to go out with you and get to know you as , not the Backstreet Boy... that is, if you still want to go out with me." Wow, what a mouth full.
He paused a moment, taking in what I had just said. Finally, he said simply, "That's cool." Then added, "I'd love to get to know you, too." Taking my hand, he led me out to his car.
We did go out to dinner (luckily I had decided not to eat) and it was a semi-fancy restraunt. After that we went down to the beach and talked for hours.
PART FOUR
*One Week Later*
"Hi, ," said, greeting me at my front door with a kiss.
"Hi, what's up?"
"Well," he started slowly, "I was kind of wondering..."
"Yes?" I probed.
"Will you come with me?"
"Where?" I asked, checking the time. I had to be at work in thirty minutes.
"It won't take long, please?"
"I suppose, but if I'm late for work, my boss is gonna have a fit!"
"Great!" pulled out a bandana and blindfolded me, then led me out to his car. About five minutes later he took the blind fold off and I saw a beautiful sight: We were on a cliff over looking the ocean, and the sun was just starting to rise.
"Oh, , it's beautiful!" I exclaimed.
"?"
"Yes?" I asked.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I grinned, "I thought you would never ask!" I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him passionately.
PART FIVE
*Two Months Later*
I knew the time was approaching. The days flew and March 13th came closer and closer. That dreaded date where had to go on tour and we wouldn't see each other for months. We both tried to ignore it, but at the same time, we both knew it was coming.

would be leaving tommorrow. We sat in the same spot where he first asked me to be his girlfriend, silently watching the sun set.
"?" he said softly.
"Hmm?" I asked, slowly drifting away.
"Will you miss me when I'm gone?" For the first time since he first asked me out, I sensed doubt in his voice.
I turned to face him and his deep eyes looked sad, "Of course I'll miss you. I love you."
kissed me softly on the lips, "I love you too, ."
