"Here," Jennifer said, walking back in the house, "I brought their cat too, I figured since we want it to look like they left, people would assume they'd bring their pets."

Brian was curious as to why she hadn't brought the kids over, or even said anything about them. However, he decided it was in his and their best interest to not mention them. He hoped Krysti showed up soon and had enough common sense to avoid the trap they had walked into.

Krysti walked up to Brian's front porch and read the note. Hearing the TV on inside, she decided to see who was in there. "Hey Alex, hey Amanda!"

"Auntie Krysti!" they jumped up and gave her a hug, "What's going on? Where's Mommy and Daddy?"

"The lady said they would be home soon."

"What lady?"

"The neighboor lady."

"Strange," Krysti muttered, "I'll be right back." She walked into Brian and Charlotte's room to see the drawers ripped open and clothes scattered everywhere, "Interesting."

She decided to do some investigating...

Grabbing the binoculars she knew Brian kept in the back of his closet, for what reason she didn't know, she headed out to the backyard.

"I wanna come!" Alex said.

"No," Krysti said, authoritively, "Stay inside and watch your movie."

Climbing up the tree in their backyard, she positioned herself so she could see right into the neighboor's house. Krysti dropped the binoculars. She couldn't believe her eyes.
