"Chastity, put the dishes up."

"Yes, mother," the young girl said, pushing her chestnut hair out of the way, then rising without question. That was how her whole life was, she never questioned anything. She wasn't a piece of furniture though, she had dreams and aspirations for the future. She wanted to be a singer, a famous singer, and she wanted to tour with the Backstreet Boys.

After clearing the table Chastity headed upstairs.

"Chastity, please take your seat again, we need to discuss something." Chastity obediently followed her father's orders.

"Yes?" she asked, seating herself.

"Let's talk about your future. We sent in your aplication to Stanford, and -"

"You WHAT?" Chastity couldn't help but yell. "Sorry... but I told you I wanted to sing, not go to medical school."

"I know, but let's be realistic, pumpkin. Now, we got a reply and -"

Chastity's clear blue eyes burned with anger, "I was being realistic!" Why couldn't they take her seriously?

"Chastity Lorainne McKinley, what's gotten into you?" her mother snapped.

"I'm not going to Stanford!" Chastity yelled, standing up.

"Young lady, don't use that tone of voice with your mother!" her father boomed, "Now go to your room - we'll discuss this later!"

"There's nothing left to discuss," Chastity thought as she climbed the steps to her room, "I WILL be a gamous singer."

Her father walked in to find Chastity packing her bags. "And just where do you think you're going?" he asked angrily.

"I'm going to Jeremy's until I can get a plane ticket to Orlando."

"I don't think so."

"Well I do," she said, trying to push past him.

He grabbed her writs, "You're not going anywhere!"

"Yes I am!" she tried to shake him off.

"No you're not!" he hit her across the face, sending her flying to the groun, crying. "Oh, god Chastity, I didn't -"

Chastity ran from the room and out of the house. "Chastity!" her father yelled after, but she ignored him and continued to run until she reached Jeremy's.
