brian sutherland, a piscean, 1981, of hoffman estates, illinois, by the graces of nine months-- post-coitus.
a being, call it "myself":
i like to say that the people i find interest in are ones that can be distinguished in one way or another from the "whole." with that in mind, i like to consider myself distinguished as well.
music is me, pretty much. i listen to lots of genres of music, though post-hardcore is, and has been, my passion for the past few years.
i write. i used to have a column for the local major daily newspaper in the area, called "Daily Herald" (until they stopped paying me. bastards!), and i write creatively, also. years ago, i was highlighted as the featured author in my former high school's literary magazine, probably the second proudest moment of my high school career. the most prideful moment was having a play an original play written by me produced at my high school, called "the spontaneity in organized crime."
it's a comedy about a family accosted by a rookie hitman, who has mistakenly chosen the wrong house, literally, the commentary inbetween, and the realism that follows. themes include: the role of fate on our lives, the measures people will take to become rich, living without a friend... i also write plenty of poetry, and bunches of short stories, too.
.me (plural).
i can't explain why, but months ago, i met a wonderful woman who, ironically, lived right down the street from me for ten years. erika has been the driving force in the pumping of blood in my heart for quite some time, now, and, though we are distanced during the school year, i still feel incredibly attracted to her, and i'm not embarassed to say that i am in love with her. she is a wonderful person.
i don't believe that there's someone out there for everyone. first of all, that's not practical. there's a majority of sexes (women outnumber men in the world), and some people are homosexual, splintering the split of sexes. anyway, maybe, there is someone out there that is/would be happy with me. for now, i will imagine such truth.
i am a second-year communication major at loyola university chicago.
