Stuff to Listen to...

"Forward Til Death"
(
January 1999)

This is Lookout! Records 1999 sampler CD. Other bands on this compilation include: Avail, Boris The Sprinkler, Citizen Fish, The Criminals, Crimpshrine, The Crumbs, The Donnas, Gas Huffer, The Groovie Ghoulies, The Hi-Fives, The Mopes, The Mr. T Experience (Dr. F's regular band!), Pansy Division, The Phantom Surfers, Servotron, The Smugglers, Squirtgun, and The Young Pioneers. The Dr. Frank song featured on here is "Thinking Of You".

Does anyone else think that there are FAR too many Donnas songs on this comp? I do.

"Show Business Is My Life"
(Out Now!!! Hell Yeah!!!)

This twelve song release, which was recorded throughout 1998 (between tours and recording with MTX),  is Dr. Frank's first solo album. "Show Business Is My Life" gave Dr. Frank the chance to experiment with kinds of music that The Mr. T Experience doesn't usually get into. The idea for a solo record came from the acoustic solo songs on the last few Mr. T Experience records. "Show Business Is My Life" not only features pop-punk sounds, but also country, bossa nova, 60's beat, and straight ahead rock n' roll.

Song List:

"She Turned Out To Be Crazy"
   "Population: Us"

   "Knock-Knock (Please Let Me In)"
   "Suicide Watch"
   "Bitter Homes And Gardens"
   "She All Right"
   "Thinking Of You"
   "Ask Beth"
"I Made You And I Can Break You"
   "Sad, Sad Shadow"
   "I'm In Love With What's-Her-Name"
   "Two Martinis From Now"
   "This Isn't About You Anymore"

I can't think of a witty screen tip for this picture. Aren't you dissapointed.

Other Interesting Tidbits

"Thinking Of You is played on a "Twangin' Country Micro Jammer" (Some kinda toy guitar...)

On, "Population: Us", Frank not only sings lead vocals, but backup vocals as well! (It's really freaky, in my opinion. Good but freaky.)
